FRIDAY 27th/ JANUARY 2017.
I was up early, as usual, this morning to
see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day; we then had another nice lie in before
the delivery men came down our street, they slide the goods on wooden pallets,
to the local shop, we then had our regular breakfast before getting the day on
the go, Brenda is in one of her ‘ Ing’ modes, cleaning, washing, polishing etc,
so I’m up in the office/ studio on the ‘ WWW’ keeping out of her way!
Overnight the rain arrived, as forecast,
this morning at the moment we are having heavy showers, it looks like it’s in
for the rest of the day, it’s not as bad as was forecast, there is just a light
breeze, it’s very grey & overcast but we can’t complain, we were on a ‘
Yellow’ alert meaning cloud bursts and gale force winds, by later this evening
the ‘ Atlantic ‘ front is due to move on and then over the weekend its dry
& sunny and getting a little warmer, the start of next week is also looking
dry & settled, watch this space.

The House Maintenance people have just
arrived to finish off the floor in the downstairs toilet, they are checking and then refitting the toilet cistern and then re-tiling the floor with matching
tiles, which we happen to have some stored away, they have also fitted a small inspection hatch for the future!
For this evenings supper we are going to
have my own ‘ Fish & Chip Shop’ supper; using ‘ Hake Fillets’ in a ‘ Cruzecampo
Beer Batter ‘ with Mushy Peas and twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – Homemade ‘Tartar’
sauce on the side along with Lemon Wedges! On Saturday evening it’s going to ‘Grilled
Fillet Steaks’ with all the trimmings and then on Sunday we are ‘Roasting’ a
Chicken with lots of Brenda’s vegetables and of course ‘ Goose Fat ‘ Roast
Potatoes and proper, finger licking, Pan Gravy!
Yesterday evening after supper we settled
down to watch the next episode of the ‘ Unforgotten ‘ – bombshells all over the
place as the victim is found to be a serial abuser/child molester, his son attacked
the police women who is investigating the crime, the victims wife, also a
police officer, is starting to show signs of cracking, the gay barrister raped
an office worker when he was a banker, was it a set up, and is now being
blackmailed again, the suspect nurse( ex IRA!) is falling apart and finally the
Muslim teacher ( Ex prostitute !) has given away her secret to her family, so
it could be any one of the four main suspects or is there a twist!? Watch this space.
