A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 13^th / SEPTEMBER 2016.

I was up first to welcome back ‘Reina’ with us for the day, I then took ‘ Scruffy’ out for his first walk of the day, he’s no problem and is a real joy to have around, he’s a character & very good company, he slept all night under the bed on the Marble tiled floor, Rose will collect him later as she’s taken Adrian across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ for X-Rays & tests.

After our usual breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea we sorted ourselves out for the day ahead. Brenda is catching up with her chores around the house and then making her famous ‘ Mashed Potato’ & whole Green Fine Beans, for this evenings supper, Lee is joining us as Daniela is away on business in London for a couple of days.

I’ve just made the “ Beef, Mushroom & Vegetable Casserole “ I browned off the diced Beef in seasoned flour, I then sweat off the diced Onions & Garlic, Carrots, Turnips, Celery, Leeks and Mushrooms with my secret ingredients, Tomato Frito and a strong Beef & Vegetable Stock, the Beef is added and the seasoning is checked before leaving the pan to simmer under the supervision of the ‘ Second Chef’ The ‘aromas’ are wafting upstairs to the office/studio as I’m typing/posting the Blog!

The weather today is still warm & sunny but a little cooler, hovering on the 30 degs mark, making it rather more pleasant,  the nights are still hot & sticky, over the next few days it’s going to be more of the same, the weekend is looking settled.See the picture below of the sunrise over sunny Manilva this morning.

See the pictures below of two of the ‘Island’s’( Roundabouts ) of sunny Manilva, the night one is by the school on the back road down to Sabinillas and the other one is by the entrance/exit to the ‘Autopistes’ at the top of the village.

Yesterday afternoon & early evening we had our ‘Quiz’ session following all the various shows on all the channels, later after supper we settled down to watch the second episode of ‘ Cold Feet’ and the later the repeat of the new ‘Jonathan Ross’ show, this evenings it’s the final episode of ‘ One of Us’ when all will be revealed, watch this space.
