THURSDAY 15th / SEPTEMBER 2016.
I was up early this morning and shot down
to the surgery for my appointment for my Blood tests etc, Brenda saw ‘ Reina’
back with us for the day, when I returned we had our breakfast of fresh Orange
Juice, Weetabix, toast & tea, we then put together the shopping list for
tomorrow morning, ‘Mercadona’ - the ‘English Butchers’ & bookshop, fresh
flowers & plants and finally ‘ Super Sol’
Overnight the weather has changed, it’s
gone a lot cooler, the temperatures have dropped by nearly 10 degrees,
18min/26max, the ‘Poiniente’ wind has moved on the hot weather front, the next
one is coming in from the Atlantic into the Mediterranean, across from West
Africa,over the next four days it’s going to get hotter for the start of next
week, watch this space.
For a change this evening as its the ‘
Chefs’& Staff’ night off I’m going out for a ‘Take-Away’ or possibly a ‘Home
Delivery’ from the new “ Mini India “ restaurant just past Sabinillas, watch
this space.
Yesterday afternoon/evening we watched the
various ‘ Food’ shows on various channels, ’Come Dine with Me, Yes Chef, Great
British Menu & The Great British Bake Off’ – in the ‘Bake Off’ it was for
the first time ‘ Batters’ – ‘savoury’ Yorkshire Puddings, some of which didn’t
rise, Pancake ‘ Lace Works’ in the shape of a heart & ‘ Spanish Churros’ with
various dips!
Later we caught the next two part episode
of ‘ DCI Banks’ which is very interesting as the Police team led by Stephen Tompkinson
track kidnappers/murder in the Chinese community. I have also started watching the
49th series of ‘ Later Live with Jools Holland’ – this week it’s the
‘ Kings of Leon, Jack White ( Acoustic ) & Sting’
