We started
with a little lie in this morning before a quick breakfast and then sorted
ourselves out to be ready to go out at lunchtime for lunch with Joyce ‘Baby’ at
the ‘La Sala’ restaurant in Puerto Banus; the weather today is fine and sunny
and by lunchtime we were able to sit outside the restaurant on the terrace for
our ‘al fresco’ lunch in the warm sunshine!
We had a
good old catch up with Joyce along with a gossip as we took in the sights and
sounds of Puerto Banus, the sights are the in-crowd people and the sounds are
of the cars, Bentley’s Ferrari’s etc.!
Joyce chose
from the ‘Menu Del Dia’and had to start a ‘Goats Cheese Brucetta’then to follow
the ‘Salmon Terraiki on Noodles’ Brenda chose from the light bite menu and had
a ‘Mozzarella & Tomato’ salad to start and then her favorite ‘Seared
Scallops on Foie Gras’ on a Spinach Salad. I had from the large a La Carte menu
a very nice ‘Rib Eye’ char-grilled with a Creamy Pepper sauce on the side along
with fresh French Fries and garnish! We had to drinks to start and with our
meal I choose a very nice ‘Cava Rosado’ See the pictures below;
A very
pleasant lunchtime out with a very dear friend “Health, Wealth and Happiness”
for 2015 to Joyce with all our love xxxx
So yesterday
we found two films to watch, first the re-make of the classic 1957 “ 3-10 To
Yuma” from 2007 with Christian Bale as
the ‘Goodie’ and Russell Crowe as the ‘Baddie’ then from start to finish the
award winning “ Out of Africa” from 1985 with Robert Redford & Meryl Streep
along with Klaus Maria Brandauer – all of which did not win any’Oscars’but the
film won 7!
For our
light supper this evening we are having the classic “ Eggs Benedict ” using out
home baked Ham on toasted local bread, topped with a local Campo Poached Egg
and then coated with the classic ‘Hollandaise ‘ sauce.See the picture below;
