We were up
bright and early this morning and after grabbing a quick breakfast we shot
around to the local market for some fresh flowers and I made an appointment at
the surgery to update my prescriptions; we then carried on down to Sabinillas
and called into the English Bookshop for the newspapers and some birthday
cards, I also found some new postcards to have ready when somebody sends one to
us here in sunny Manilva!
It’s a bit
colder today, as forecast, the sun is just braking through and the skies are
clearing and no sign of any of the wet stuff, so far, over night we had a short
severe rain storm and we could have more of the same sometime over the weekend,
the it will start to pick up at the start of next week, hopefully!
The ‘Queen’
has set off on her journey early this morning from ‘up North’ in Skelton, she
was photographed at Saltburn station at 7-30am by the local ‘Paparazzi’ - we are picking her up from the airport in
Gibraltar this evening at 19-15pm.See the picture below;
And 12 hours later at Gibraltar, safe and sound!

So we have
unpacked back at the house and are getting ready for the dog groomer, Ann Smith, to
arrive to take on ‘Chispa’at lunchtime, it will be rather interesting to see how
she goes on, watch this space.Well you can see the results below,Ann looks after 'Scruffy' and 'Charlie'( the dog!) also and knows the village quiet well,so 'Chispa' has had the full works including cutting her nails! What a result!!
We have no
plans today with the menu’s, we are taking things as they come as this evening
after we return from Gibraltar we are then going across to the airport in
Malaga, in Andy’s car, to pick him and Maria up at 22-45pm!

Tomorrow
evening we are having our usual ‘Entrecote Steak’ with a Baked Potato and a
nice Mixed salad, on Sunday we are planning to ask Josie around for a light
supper of ‘Escalope of Chicken Breast’ cooked on the griddle, on the side we
will have some finely sliced Green Beans and just a few dry-sautéed thick-cut
Baked Potato along with some of my famous Tomato Salsa, the ‘Queen’ has
requested a light meal as she is watching her weight, not that she has too,
after a very busy Xmas schedule with all their family!
Thoughts
for Day; See above.
