A CRISP AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 3^rd/ JANUARY 2015.

We had to be up this morning as it was gas bottle delivery day; first thing in the morning its still very cold but as the day moves along it gets warmer and today it will reach 17degs! Its now looking dry and sunny for the start of next week so the ‘Three Kings’ parade which is fact taking place on Monday evening,notTuesday we think?! On facebook the council is reporting it as tomorrow the 4^th and on their own page its showing the 5^th?!! Watch this space. I've got it cleared up,tomorrow its a Church 'happening' and then the parade is on Monday evening!

While I have been typing the Blog we had a Skype video call finally from Jack & Lyn over in Melbourne, we have been trying to make contact for a few days so we finally had a good catch up on their Xmas cruise around New Zealand. Its the height of summer over in Australia and today it was 40degs in the shade! ‘Health, Wealth and Happiness’ to all the family over in Australia.

Meanwhile over in Old Colwyn in North Wales yesterday it was Tim’s 69^th birthday, he had a rather special day as he and Thea picked up their ‘Adria’Motorhome and ended up with it outside their house before parking it up later in a secure compound near them. As he pointed out its only 14 weeks until they are coming down here to see us in sunny Manilva. We can’t wait to see them and welcome them on their “ Moffatt’s Travels ”!!  See the picture below.

So today we are having an at home day taking things easy, we have just been planning our outfits for our lunch out next Wednesday with Joyce ‘Baby’ over in Puerto Banus at ‘La Sala’ We also after breakfast had a menu planning discussion, tomorrow we are having a Sunday Roast – “ Roast Loin of Pork ”with all the trimmings before the new ‘Regime/Diet’ kicks in on Monday, to start their will be no chocolate,crisps,biscuits etc,at the same time the portion size will be cut back, no ‘Frits’ or rich Potato dishes and even some Pasta might be on the menu! Plain/simple food with even some ‘Poaching’ happening! The official first ‘Weigh In’ is taking place on Monday morning!

So tonight we are having ‘Entrecote Steak’ cooked ‘Dry’ on the very hot griddle plate ‘Med-Rare’ with sautéed Baby Mushrooms, finely sliced Green Beans and our last twice-cooked ‘Frits’ for quite a while!

Over in England its the third round of the ‘FA Cup’ over the next few days; Manchester City v Sheffield Wed on Sunday,Wimbledon v Liverpool on Monday and Everton v West Ham on Tuesday.

Here in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ ‘Scruffy’ is back for a sleep over on Monday and ‘Reina’ is with us on Tuesday and Thursday.

This evening after our supper we will try and find a good film to watch

PS; Our friend Brian, 'Charlie' the dog's dad has just called in and very kindly fixed our new posh new letterbox up on the wall outside our front door,we saw him and his wife Jan,yesterday after we dropped off the two 'Lamb Shank' bones at their house in the village for 'Charlie'!!
