Just a
little lie in this morning until the sound of the street cleaning machine woke
us up; we then had Smoked Bacon ‘Butty’s’ with a mug of tea to set us up for
the day ahead! The weather forecast is looking fine with the sun breaking
through later and just a little breeze, more of the same for the start of next
week and getting a little warmer, at the moment.
I then made
a fresh batch of my special ‘own recipe’ “ Minestrone” soup using my famous
Tomato Salsa as a base and then making up the soup with all the vegetables,
pulse’s and pasta that I could find! 22 in total!! At the same time I made the
savory ‘Red & Green Pepper Salsa’ for the Basmati Rice, for this evenings
supper to go with the dry-griddled ‘Escalope of Turkey Breast’ Tomorrow night
we are having a ‘Seafood Fried Rice’ – ‘Singapore Style’!
As we are
free on Monday with no ‘Doggy’ commitments we are going out in the morning for
a drive in the ‘Red Ferrari – Fiesta’ along the coast towards Gibraltar and
will then find some where to stop off for a bit of sight seeing/shopping no
doubt and a light Tapas lunch!
Last Friday
when we were out in San Pedro we called into one of Brenda’s favorite shops ‘La
Casa Blanca’ which is in a small shopping mall on the edge of the town for some
night lights and found that they had a 50% sale on! So we ended up buying some
new bath mats, a front door draft excluder and some very nice expensive new
cushions (50% off)! As you can see in the pictures below.
Yesterday
afternoon I managed to get a very good connection on the ‘First Row Sports
Channel’ on the larger PC and was able to watch, first the Liverpool game, they won 0-1 – just! - then
later the Everton match, they drew 1-1 with City but played very well and
deserved to win – sorry Big Bri & Brian!!
Later in
the evening on the sports high lights on the very good Spanish ‘Cuatro’ channel
I caught up with all the football from around Europe with Real Madrid winning
3-0 as Gareth Bale scored from a free-kick and made another goal with a 40yrd
pass to Ronaldo, later he was booed by the home crowd when he did not pass to
the spoilt brat ‘Ronaldo’ who called him a ‘P--a’! – a Spanish slang word!
So we are
taking things easy today,I given the ‘Child Bride’ the day off and we will go
out for walk a little later at lunchtime and no doubt drop in for a cool drink
up at Bar Rojas to take in the sights and sound of a sleepy sunny Manilva on
Sunday.
We took 'Chispa' with us and sat in the new park where the sun was very hot,the breeze had dropped and by lunchtime it was 19/20degs and rising! We could not resist the aroma of the spit-roasted Chicken as we walked along Calle Mar so we bought a half one and had it for lunch with a salad!
We have just arranged for a dog groomer to call and see to 'Chispa' on Friday lunchtime,, she already looks after 'Scruffy'and comes highly recommended by Rose!
