A CRISP AND SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 5th/ JANUARY 2015.

We had a well deserved lie in this morning to set us up for the week ahead down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ in sunny Manilva! After our usual breakfast we sorted ourselves out and planned the week to come; today sadly ‘Scruffy’ is not with us for a sleep over as Rose has a nasty cold and is off work, we will wait to see when he is next with us here in ‘Doggy World Haven’

Meanwhile little princess ‘Reina’ is back with us tomorrow and on Thursday. Andy called yesterday to see how ‘Charlie’ is, he’s fine and will be with us for another two weeks as Andy is going over to England with Maria to see his mother, for a week on Friday; this means hat we are taking them to the bus station in Marbella or the airport over in Malaga sometime on Friday in his car and then picking them up a week later!

'Charlie' has just said his first 'Where's Brenda' ?!

Then on Wednesday its lunch out at the celebrity restaurant in Puerto Banus ‘La` Sala’ with Joyce ‘ Baby’ before she goes back home to Chester on Friday from her second home in Alhaurin el Grande up in the ‘Sierra’s’ behind Malaga.

So this evening it’s the ‘Three Kings’ street parade along Calle Mar when they throw all the sweets and caramels all over the place from the floats and all the children, and Brenda collect them! See the pictures above later.We sat outside 'Bar Roja's' for a drink and the parade came along on time led by the 'Bomba Band with the 'Chi Chi Pomp Band' as well; we then walked along to 'Cafe Plaza' and bumped into the 'Guerrero Clan' We had a very nice surprise when we got back to our house as somebody had covered the front step and street,just, in 'Caramelo's' for Brenda - what a nice thought and 'thanks to who ever it was!

This morning I've just picked up from the local bakery our traditional " Roscon De Reyes" - 'Three Kings' Cream Cake; we are starting the 'Diet/Regime' slowly so we won't suffer with drawl symptoms! See the pictures below;

Over the weekend in ‘La Liga’ after their Xmas break all the stars must have been suffering from too much food, drink and fun as both Real Madrid and Barcelona lost; Valencia won 2-1 against Real Madrid and ended their winning run and the surprise of the night was when lowly Real Sociedad managed by David Moyes beat Barcelona 1-0! In the third round of the FA Cup City over in England City won 2-1, its Liverpool’s turn tonight and Everton tomorrow!!

Brenda has just gone off to the surgery to make an appointment for a check up and taken ‘Chispa’ with her as she came calling just as she was leaving. Downstairs ‘Charlie’ is now in full voice and going through his whole repertoire after waking up and eating his breakfast! At the moment the council water wagon is washing down our street outside our house.

Last night we had a very enjoyable evening with Lee & Daniela and after they left we caught the late movie which was “ Angels and Deamons” from 2009 – the follow up to ‘The Da Vinci Code’ with Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor and Ayelet Zurer charging around Rome and the Vatican City trying to find a bomb!

This evening for our first meal of the new regime/diet we are having cold ‘Roast Loin of Pork’ with a small Baked Potato! Tomorrow night we are having something that Brenda loves and has been requesting for a while “Sugar & Honey Baked Ham” with a Parsley Sauce with just Garden Peas and a few Baby New Potatoes!!

Another one of our pensions has just arrived in our Spanish bank account and is up a little on last month due to the ‘Euro’ being a little stronger against the pound this morning! A good news day to the start the week!!

PS; Last night the 'Xmas Bomba Band' came back up our street after playing around the village and in lots of the bars for over six hours! See the pictures below.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
