We have a
surprise guest this morning as we received a ‘Tango’ message from Daniela
asking if we could have ‘Reina’ for the day, she arrived slightly late and has
now settled in, meanwhile ‘Charlie’ the African Grey Parrot is still with us. Andy called on the Skype video at lunchtime so we are keeping 'Charlie' for another two weeks as Andy is going to England next Friday to see his mother, for a week,we are dropping them off at the airport next Friday in his car.
We also asked Daniela & Lee to join us for supper this evening after their busy day.

This
morning its ‘shirt sleeve’ weather here in sunny Manilva, its mild with a clear
blue sky and the sun is out of course; next week is now looking very good for
the ‘Three Kings’ parade on Monday evening and the celebrations on Tuesday, the
rest of the week is also fine but there could be a bit of the wet stuff over
next weekend!
This means
that it will be fine on Wednesday when we are going out for lunch with our dear
friend Joyce ‘Baby’ to the celebrity restaurant ‘La Sala’ in Puerto Banus.
After
breakfast we sorted out today’s ‘Roast’ – “Roast Loin of Pork” with a savory
Sausage & Thyme stuffing, caramalised ‘Fuji ’ Apple slices; Brenda has been very
busy in the vegetable preparation kitchen, Cabbage with Alselgas, Baby Carrot
Batons & diced Baby Turnips, Cauliflower florets in a three Cheese sauce,
Baby Brussels Sprouts and Garden Peas. For a change we are having ‘Tarragon’
flavored crisp ‘Roast Potato Chunks’ cooked in Goose Fat! The finger licking
pan- gravy is also ready!!
We are now
freshening our self’s up after Brenda has had a quick dust and mop around! We
are going for the full ‘Party’s Here’ with the executive crackers this evening,
I’ve got some Tapas ready and we will find a dessert later.
At lunchtime we went down to 'Bodegon Andaluz' for a drink or two and then for a short walk with 'Reina' along Calle Mar, its warm and sunny with no breeze and everybody is sat outside in the sunshine.

In the
village today ‘Calle Mar’ is closed as it’s the last Sunday for the children’s
activities and then this evening it’s the religious ceremony down at the
Iglasia Santa Ana Church when the ‘Three Kings’ arrive. The village ‘Xmas Bomba
Band’ has just appeared along the street see the pictures below.Note the clear blue sky!
