A WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY " BOXING DAY " 2014

FRIDAY 26^th/ DECEMBER 2014 “BOXING DAY” 2014.

We just overslept this morning as it is so peaceful here in sunny Manilva, after a quick breakfast we shot out with ‘Scruffy’ and called into the chemists for our prescriptions, then the local bank cash machine for some cash and carried on down to the local market by the sports ground for some fresh flowers, on the way back we called into our local butchers and picked up this evenings Rib of Beef.

Today of course in Spain its just a normal working day with all the shops etc open for business as well as the all the bars! The sun is out and the sky is blue and there is no breeze, just perfect down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’

So when we got back to the house ‘Chispa’ came rushing up the street to greet us back, they are both now playing around our feet after having some more Turkey!

At lunchtime I took the staff out for a drink up to Bar Rojas,we then joined the 'Guerrero Clan' at Cafeteria Plaza for another one,see the picture below with also Anna & Sally Ann;

We have got tonight’s ‘Roast Rib of Beef’ on the go, its in the oven as I’m typing the Blog and Brenda is finishing the vegetables, we have a little ‘Bouquetire’ of left over vegetables as well as some Crushed Carrots & Baby Turnips, Braised Onions and Baby New Potatoes along with the Goose Fat Roast Potatoes and large Yorkshire Puddings with finger licking pan Gravy!! Its of course a big day over in England in the ‘Premiere League’ as the ‘Boxing Day’ matches kick off later, Everton welcome Stoke while Liverpool travel to Burnley and Manchester City go down the M6 to West Brom! Liverpool won 0-1 City won 1-3 but sadly,again Everton lost 0-1( Big Bri?!)

Yesterday evening Lee & Daniela called in to pick ‘Reina’ up so we had a nice glass of Brut Chilled Cava with a fresh strawberry with them before we had our Xmas ‘Feast’! More of the same today as we celebrate ‘Boxing Day’

PS; The ‘Executive Crackers’ from Iceland were a ‘Cracking – Pull’!!

PPS; I've just been asked by Eva the Councillor for Culture to be a judge in the 'Pastry Making Competition' this Sunday taking place in the 'Wine Center' and have accepted !! Watch this space.
