We stayed
in bed for a little while this morning as it was cold, overnight a stiff
‘Lavante’ breeze had got up, so it was a lot colder than normal, although we
are having lovely warm sunny days with the temperatures reaching 20/21degs at
night as it drops to 6 degs!
After
breakfast we took ‘Scruffy’ for his first walk of the day, he is no problem and
is really lovely to have around, he’s such a loveable dog with a terrific
temperament and he has a real character, we will miss him terrible when he goes
home on Sunday evening!
Brenda
called her sister Jenny, who is staying with her other sister Norah over in
Runcorn for Xmas, its her birthday today – “ Happy Birthday” Jenny, lots of love
xx
Yesterday
afternoon we had a nice surprise Skype video call from Den & Josie who are
over in Ireland for Christmas visiting one of their children, between them they
have five and are on a ‘Grand Tour’ over the Xmas period visiting them all, by
plane, train, (boat?) bus,car and ‘Shanks Pony’! The last leg of their travels
is today when they heading up to Barrow in Furness, where Den is originally
from, weather permitting as the snow has arrived with a vengeance! Safe journey
to the ‘Queen and her Consort’ on the last leg of their ‘Royal Tour’
Next the
‘Queen’ is due here in January for her annual ‘Winter Visit’ in the sun down
here on the ‘Costa
Del Sol ,
her loyal subjects, in sunny Manilva are already looking forward to greeting
her!
Then last
night after supper we had a nice long Skype video call from Tim & Thea over
in Old Colwyn in a snow covered North Wales; we had a good old catch up with
all their news from over the Xmas celebrations as they have lots of friends;
the other news is that their Motor Home is sorted and they have found a secure
spot to park it in Old Colwyn; the “ New Age Travelers” are ready to hit the
road, watch out to all their friends all over Europe.
You could
be on the list! It sound like they have two trips planned for down here on the
Costa Del Sol during 2015 as well as a visit to next years ‘Glastonbury
Festival’!!
At lunchtime we went for a walk with 'Scruffy & Chispa' down to the 'Plaza de la Vendimia' and sat in the warm sunshine; we bumped into Anna & her cousin Debbie and later some of the 'Guerrero Clan' called into our house for a glass of Cava and some beers,Mano and Anna with Carlos and Cousin Debbie with her son Tom the golfer, who are over for the Xmas period joined us for some hot mini- sausage rolls and nibbles; see the picture below of Mano's new teeth!!
