Another
early morning as little princess ‘Reina’ is with us today also; this means that
we are going for our shopping first thing on Saturday morning down to
Sabinillas, our last before Xmas.I’ve got to go down to Duquesa Marina to pick
up the Turkey from the English butchers on Tuesday and then our Rib of Beef I’m
picking up again from our local butchers in the village on Wednesday morning!
After
breakfast we went for a long walk with the dog around the village calling into the
small market down by the sports ground at the same time.‘Reina’ is back with us
next Tuesday as usual and then possibly on Xmas Day, of course ‘Scruffy’
arrives on Sunday evening for his ‘Xmas Holiday Break’ for seven days! No doubt
‘Chispa’ will be calling in everyday to see her friends.
Yesterday
evening we had an E-Mail from our dear friends Terry & Alma up in Northern France , their main news was rather sad as
they have lost both of the dogs in a very short space of time after a long and
happy life with them (15years!) Our thoughts are with them especially at this
time of joy and festivities.
Today the
sun is out and the skies are clear, there is no breeze and it’s rather pleasant
if you keep on the sunny side of the street! Over the weekend we have more of
the same and at the start of the ‘Xmas’ week it’s also looking good. Fingers
crossed!!
At lunchtime I took the 'staff' out for the official " Staff Party/Drink" up to Bar Rojas sat in the hot sunshine - a well deserved drink for the hard working team ( Brenda!) during 2014 - Thanks!!

So this
evening for our supper we are having ‘Fish & Chips’ a la ‘Sexton style’ – “
Goujons of Hake Fillet in Cruzcampo Batter” with twice-cooked diced Frits and
Mushy Peas, lots of Lemon wedges on the side and of course my homemade Tartar
sauce as well!
We will
then settle down to watch all the news, sport and weather details as usual
before finding something to watch on what is usually a good film night?!
Thoughts
for the Day; See above.
