SUNNY AND A VERY HOT MANILVA AT THE START OF ANOTHER WEEK

MONDAY 12th/AUGUST 2013.

We had a nice lie this morning after yesterdays drinking, singing and dancing, at one stage I was dancing with Lucy and our local councilor Eva at the same time! Then last night Mano and Anna joined us for supper which turned out to be a bit of a night!( Supper was delicious )

So today we are having an at home day, it’s a village bank holiday after the four days of the ‘Feria De Agosto’ – the village is very quiet and it gives them all a chance to recover! No change in the weather to report, it’s sunny and very hot in Manilva – what’s new?!

Mano is calling in later with some turpentine so as we can finish the paining up on the roof terrace, the window grating needs painting Black, he is also going to see if he can help with Brenda’s mobile by ringing ‘Jazztel’ – he should have more luck as he speaks Spanish!!

This afternoon Brenda will be out on the roof terrace reading, tomorrow morning she is going down for her dip and walk along the beach and on Wednesday lunchtime she is down again having her hair shampooed and cut. Also on Wednesday our friend from last year,Di I is arriving so we will see her on Thursday, it’s another National Bank Holiday over here “ La Asuncion ” a catholic celebration to celebrate the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Tonight for supper we are having Minute Steak and Chips and then we will catch a film, over the weekend its been all repeats – “ The Sea Wolves , Where Eagles Dare and another Bond ” and a very unusual movie called “ Hard Eight ” from 1996,it’s a neo-crime thriller with Philip Baker Hall, John C.Riley,Samuel L Jackson and a very young Gwyneth Paltrow.

PS; We have just come off the Skype video after a good catch up with Tim in Old Colwyn, lots of news and some old memories re-kindled !

Thought for the Day; See above.
