SUNNY AND A VERY HOT MANILVA ON SUNDAY

SUNDAY 18 th/ AUGUST 2013.


We had a little lie in this morning and then after or tea, toast and fresh fruit we got things ready for tonight’s supper; we had a leisurely freshen up and then walked up to Bar Rojas for our lunchtime Paella with Di.It’s now time for a ‘Siesta’ to set ourselves up for this evenings festivities! 

We had a lovely evening with Di and enjoyed talking to her,me mainly as once you get me started I can't stop! Thanks for the wine stock of 'Rosado' and we look forward to supper up at Bar Rojas on Tuesday!!

SPORTS UPDATE;

I will post all the news from the Tennis and Motor GP over in the USA later after they have finished; they are six hours behind us here in sunny Manilva; the Spanish football is later this evening and over in the UK it’s on at the moment.

Over in Cincinnati at the 'Open Tennis' Nadel beat the American Isner and Serena Williams LOST to the Belarusian lady Victoria Azarenka after a tie break in the third set,Williams does not do loosing very well!At the Indianapolis Motor Grand Prix Marc Marquez won again and leads the championship'

Here in Spain Barcelona won at home 7-0 with Messi scoring two and Real Madrid also at home won 2-1 but Malaga lost at Valencia 0-1 - over in the German 'Bundesliga' 'Pep's' Bayern Munich won 1-0 Meanwhile in England Chelsea and Spurs both won.

Back to the USA in Colorado the 'European' ladies beat the USA ladies in Golf's 'Solhein Cup'- the equivalent of the Ryder Cup for men by 18-10 to retain the trophy for the first time and also their first win on foreign soil.

This evening for supper we are having our cold Chicken feast with various salads, to start with we are going to have some fresh local Gambas with a glass of ‘Kir Royale’ and for the dessert I’ve made batter for ‘Crepes a la  Mode’ - One ' Helluva' night,thanks Di !
