SUNNY AND A VERY HOT AND STICKY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY

WEDNESDAY 14^th/ AUGUST 2013.

This morning it’s close and sticky with only just a little breeze and it’s due to get hotter by the weekend; Brenda has gone down on the lunchtime bus as she has an appointment at the hairdresser’s for a wash, blow and cut! She has just rung me on her mobile to check that its working; she’s been into the mobile phone shop next to the bank and changed her sim-card and put credit into the new number; 678025599 – it’s working and is OK! Fingers crossed!!

Meanwhile back in the house I’ve a Chicken Curry on the go for tonight’s supper which we are having with Basmati rice, Garden Peas and sliced Banana; I’ am also making later this week another batch of my now famous ‘Tomato Salsa’ which we use all the time as a sauce and in making other dishes.

So today we are taking things easy and this afternoon Brenda is going up on the roof terrace to top up her colour, she decides which part of her needs more and then lies in all sorts of different positions – its bit like basting a ‘Turkey’ – even the locals are commenting on her colour this year!!

Last night I watched upstairs in the office on the small PC on BBC1 the latest episode of ‘New Tricks’ meanwhile downstairs Brenda was watching some Tennis from Cincinnati; we have exchanged our current ‘Patterson’s’ with one – another and will call into the English bookshop on Friday to swap them if we finish them by then!

Brenda reported when she got back from Sabinillas on the bus that the lamp post's were shooting up in 'Plaza de la Vendimia' so I shot around and snapped a quick picture as you can see above!
