FRIDAY 26th / AUGUST 2016.
I was up first this morning and shot off on
my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, Brenda then got herself
ready and saw ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she could be back with us for
a sleepover tomorrow night, I shot into ‘ Mercadona’ first, thankfully it was a
lot quieter, the Spanish holiday ‘masses’ are on their way home and the English
‘hoards’ are going back this weekend, I then called into the ‘Wholesale/Retail
Fruit & Vegetable’ Market before going along to the local market at the far
end of the promenade for the fresh flowers and wall plants, on the way back up
the hill I stopped at ‘ Super Sol’ for the English essentials.
As I got back to the house ‘ Chispa’ came
calling for the first time today, after unpacking we grabbed a quick breakfast,
we are still just snacking, for now, hopefully I will get my appetite back for
cooking & eating soon, we are taking things very easy this weekend just
doing nothing, next weekend it’s the ‘ Vendimia Festival’ with three days of
singing, dancing, drinking & eating, watch this space. The Council workmen
have just started to complete the green sun awnings covering the street, next it will be the two stages etc. Watch this
space.
The weather has changed again over night,
it’s a lot cooler during the night and the daytime temperatures have also come
down to the mid 30s, it’s still very warm & sunny but the sea breeze is
making it rather pleasant, the forecast is for more of the same over the
weekend and into next week.
We will watch some sport over the weekend,
Football, Cycling, Grand Prix etc, then there are new series starting on various
channels, we will also find a film or two to watch.
PS; How are the ' Moffatt's over in Old Colwyn ?!
