I was up very early to welcome back ‘ Reina’
for the day, she’s now here for a sleep over on Thursday evening also, I then
went back to bed and we all had a nice long lie in after a very hot night, after
freshening up we had our normal breakfast of fresh fruit, toast & tea. Its
another at home day taking things easy, drinking lots of cold water and keeping
cool!
Its already very hot but a little overcast today,
its also little cooler as the weather fronts change, the hot one is moving away
up towards the ‘UK’ and we have another
one coming in from Africa, so by the weekend we will be back to normal for this
time of the year.
For our supper this evening we are having
the ‘ Beef Curry ‘with Basmati Rice and some twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ Tomorrow its
the ‘ Chef’s & Staff ‘ night off so we are going along to ‘Bar Castillo’ for our ‘ Tapas’ supper, at
this time of the year we don’t venture out as all our favourite ‘Restaurants’ are packed with the ‘ Holiday
Hoards ‘ and you can’t park anywhere, you can’t even get into the Duquesa
Marina, the main roads are also more dangerous, than normal, with all the UK
& Foreign drivers.
In the news this morning it reported the
death, with a massive heart attack at the age of 64, of the ‘ Duke of Westminster
’ – Gerald Grosvenor, it brought back our memories of when we were invited to the family home, outside Chester, Eaton Hall, for a ‘ Champagne & Canape’
reception in the famous ‘ Long Room ‘ for a Charity event, he was very down to
earth & spoke to everyone, the famous ‘ Grosvenor Hotel in Chester is part
of the very large World Wide ‘ Grosvenor Estate ‘ including vast parts of Central
London and the ‘Liverpool One’ shopping mall and over here in Andalucia! Our
dear friend, Jane, worked for him as the Marketing Director/ Sales Manager of
the Historic ‘Grosvenor Hotel’ and travelled World Wide promoting the business.
This afternoon we will be watching the
Spanish TV coverage and if I can tune in on the ‘ First Row Sports’ channel the
‘Ladies & then the Men’s Individual
Time Trials’ from Rio, we are still able to catch up with all the action via
the high lights programme on the Spanish ‘TDP’ channel as sadly the ‘ Black Out
‘ covers all the BBC/ITV coverage via our ‘ Film On ‘ viewing ‘IT’ contact on
the PC!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
