WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 8^th/ MAY 2014.

Today we are having a nice quiet day at home doing nothing – because we can! The sun is out and I took Scruffy for his early morning walk as we were up with birds! The forecast for the weekend and for next week is still looking good and getting hotter; it’s the best time of the year as it’s not to hot and occasionally there is a little breeze, it makes it very pleasant as we are out walking the dogs.

As you can see in the pictures above it another lovely day in sunny Manilva, by the time we reached the lower island after a long walk it was so hot that a heat haze had come in off the sea! 

Last night after supper I watched the mid-week game over in England between Manchester City and Aston Villa, City won 4-0 with a wonder goal from Yaya Toure as he ran from his own penalty area, the full length of the pitch past the full Aston Villa team and scored! This meant that it was City’s 100^th goal this season in the Premier League, they are ahead of Liverpool on points and with a goal difference of 13! One more game on Sunday against West Ham,all they need. is one point! All the other teams are playing at the same, Liverpool are at home to Newcastle.

Meanwhile over here in ‘La Liga’ Real Madrid could only manage a 1-1 draw at Real Valladolid,Ronaldo limped off after 8 mins with a hamstring injury, just 17 days before the ‘Champions League’ final in Lisbon – I watched the end of the game up in ‘Bar Rojas’ as I was out with Scruffy for his last walk of the day! There are two more games in the season over here when the final game is Barcelona v Atletico Madrid!!

So tonight for supper we are having ‘Omelets’ – Cheese for Brenda and Mushroom for me – that’s it!!
