WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 4^th/ MAY 2014.

Well I was up sharpish this morning and took Scruffy for his first walk of the day, he’s no problem, very well behaved and is great company, and he’s a character, he eats everything you give him (Some treats!) and goes in his bed at night like a ‘Good Boy!’ He is full of the joys of spring/summer this morning and is playing around my feet with his toy travel bag as I’ am typing this Blog!

It’s going to be another fine day down here in sunny Manilva, this is one of the best times of the year as there is still a little cool air around and it’s not too hot; this weekend is busy down on the coast due to the long bank holiday but up here in sleepy/sunny Manilva the village stays the same.

At lunchtime we went for a nice walk with the two dogs and ended up sat under the 'Sonbrajo' at Bar Rojas taking in the tranquility of sunny Manilva,we had some cool drinks and a Tapas of Chicken Livers and a slice of Lumy's 'Enpanedas Atun - Tuna Pie' followed by a 'Ration' of Paella that had been cooked while we sat there!

Last night I caught up with all the sports news after watching in the early evening the Everton v Manchester City game – 2-3 to City which puts them in the driving seat to win the ‘Premiere League’ – they are top and well ahead on goal difference so not good for Liverpool’s hopes to win it and Everton’s to get into the top four to be in the ‘Champions League’ next season!

Over here in ‘La Liga’ Barcelona could only draw at home 2-2 with Getafe who scored in injury time – this means that Barcelona don’t have a chance now to win the ‘La Liga’ – it’s Atletico Madrid’s for the taking for the first time in over 20 years! Tonight the two Madrid teams play and then tomorrow its Liverpool turn.

Atletico Madid lost 2-0 and Real Madrid drew 2-2 so i'ts even more close at the top with any of the three teams still in with a chance - now! 

This evening for our supper we are treating ourselves to ‘Lamb Cutlets Boulangere’ with Garden Peas, Carrot batons and lots of Mint sauce! Yesterday lunchtime when we out for our walk with the two dogs I called into the butchers and ordered a boned ‘Leg & Shoulder of Marinated Lamb’ for next weekend, we are planning to ask Claus & Doreen around to join us for a little Sunday ‘Soiree’

The late film last night was one that we had not seen before as it only came out in 2012 “Contraband ” – an all action gripping story based in New Orleans with Mark Wahlberg,Kate Beckinsale and Ben Foster.
