WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON A SATURDAY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND;

SATURDAY 3rd/MAY 2014.

A little lie in this morning before the shop delivery/gas bottle men came calling down our street; yesterday evening we had the most spectacular sky at sunset, it was clear blue with glorious peach/apricot colors – the result this morning is that we have yet another lovely day here in sunny Manilva already! The forecast for the rest of the weekend is more of the same and next week it’s getting hotter and better!!

After breakfast I’ am back up in the office watching the BBC1 TV ‘Breakfast Show’ before catching ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ while at the same time on the larger PC I’ am typing the Blog – as you can see! Meanwhile downstairs in the our kitchen my assistant/commis is preparing the ingredients for me to make later a fresh bowl of my famous ‘Ensaladilla Rusa’!

Later this morning ‘Scruffy’ is coming to stay with us for another Bank Holiday for two days until Monday,Chispa will come crashing in later, yesterday evening Brenda took her to the local vets for a shampoo, total haircut for the summer ahead and her nails trimmed – she now looks like ‘ET’! See the pictures later.

For supper this evening we are having plain ‘Steak a la Plancha’ with sautéed Mushrooms, finely sliced Green Beans, Baked Potato and a Beef Tomato salad.

The next to last football weekend both here and over in England, you will be glad to hear! Today Everton welcome Manchester City and could do Liverpool a favor and at the same time their own standings in the ‘Premiere League’ by beating City – come on the dark Blues! Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace on Monday in another must win match; over here Barcelona welcome Getafe today and then on Sunday its Levante v Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid v Valencia.

Also over here just up the coast around from Gibraltar in ‘Jerez De La Frontera’it’s the ‘Spanish Motor GP’ with over 250,000 motor cyclists on the roads over the weekend!

Last nights film was a ‘Loose’ re-make “ The Jackal ”from 1997,the classic original was made in 1973; it stars Bruce Willis, Richard Gere with a terrible Irish accent, Sidney Poitier in his last film, Diane Venora and Mathilda May. Tonight we will find another film to watch after catching the news and sport round ups from around Europe.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
