SUNDAY 18th/ MAY 2014.
We had a nice lie in this morning and then a slow leisulary
breakfast before getting ourselves ready; the outfits are planned, hopefully
and we are now just about to freshen ourselves up! There was an E-Mail from
Doreen to say that they are bringing a girlfriend with them, her husband went
back to London yesterday where they have lived for over 20 years, they have a
flat in Estepona – so I’ve increased the booking to 5 – the ‘More the Merrier!’
The weather is fine and sunny down here on the ‘Costa
Del Sol ’ and it looks like we are in for a settled fine spell.
over in England
this weekend it’s been 24/25degs in places – just like our ‘Winter’ here! They
don’t know what real hot weather is like until it reaches 34/35degs every day for
a month!!
So for now that’s all folks, the camera has been charged so
watch out for some pictures later of our ‘Sunday Lunch’ out at ‘Victor’s
Restaurant’ up at the ‘Manilva Green Apartment’ which we are really looking
forward too!
Well as you can see in the picture above we had a 'Helluva' Sunday Lunch out for the first time in a long while; we took the dog for a short walk after getting ready and ended up sat outside Bar Rojas for a cool drink and a light Tapas of marinated Anchovy and Seafood salad before Clause came along in his 'Audi Quattro Sports 4x4' ! - to pick us up to go to the restaurant.
We then met their German friend Kathrin who is married to an Englishman and lives in Maidenhead, she is a highly qualified 'Advanced Clinical Masseuse' The first picture shows Claus,Doreen,Brenda & Kathrin on the balcony of the hotel; then you can see the Roast Lamb( Two Legs!) - the Roast Pork( Thick-cut!) and the Roast Chicken( Five large thighs!)-all with their own juices! Then its the Yorkshire puddings( Aunt Bessie's best!) Roast large Potatoes,a large selection of assorted vegetables and a ring of Sausage?! 'Victor' checking and a picture that slipped in of a special Paella that Lumy had made up at Bar Rojas!
The final three pictures are from my assistant camera person taken with her mobile phone - thanks Doreen!!After lunch we went down to Sabinillas for an ice cream from the 'Devinci Ice Cream' shop - hence the pictures above; then we all walked along the front and ended up in 'Gary's Bar' as Doreen has a taste for English Cider! - so we all had a cool drink and took in the views until the 'Natives' started getting restless ie; swearing and fighting!! Time to go home.
Meanwhile on the sports front Djokovic was too strong for Nadel over in Rome and won,Marc Marquez won his fifth race in a row at the French Motor GP at Le Mans and across in Italy in the 'Giro D'Italia' Cadel Evans is leading!
Also over here today down in 'Castillio de la Duquesa' it was " International Family Day" - see the picture above thanks to Gary of the 'Resident Newspaper'
