TUESDAY 19th/
NOVEMBER 2013.
This
morning we started with the full continental style breakfast, freshly squeezed
local Orange juice, cold York Ham with Mango
chutney and local Chorizo, local Cheese, fresh fruit, Brown & White toast
and mugs of tea to set us up for the day ahead! We then had a walk around the
village with the dog to show Tim the sights and sounds as well as all the
changes since he was last here; it was then time to go down to Sabinillas and
go along to the ‘Duquesa Golf and County Club’ so as Tim could check out the
golf range and get the lie of the land. We then came back into Sabinillas and
went for a good walk up and down the ‘Plaza Maritimo’on the best day so far
with clear blue sky and warm sunshine.
Tim wanted
a Tapas lunch so we went to the newly opened “ Sabores Restaurant & Tapas ”
on the beach front for the first time. we were made extremely welcome by the
lady of the house ‘Monique’ and chose the offer of the day, nine different
international style Tapas made by the ‘Queen Elizabeth 2’ trained chef from
Holyhead in Anglesey! It’s a small
world!! Everything was very tasty and well presented and went down very well
with cold beer, the house Rioja and ‘B&Cs’ and ‘G&Ts’ to follow! The
lunchtime session went on for quite awhile before we head back up the hill to
sunny Manilva.
For supper
we had ‘Chicken Schnitzels’ with lots of Lemon wedges and finely sliced Green
Beans along with my famous Tomato salsa on the side – yet another fine Rioja
ended another ‘Helluva’ day down here on the Costa de Sol/Golf’ See the
pictures below, the young gentleman with Tim and Me is the 21 year old son of
Monique,Archie, who amongst many thing is a minus-one scratch golfer!
Thought for
the Day; See above.
