MANILVA START OR THE WEEK.

MONDAY 11th JUNE 2012.

As we got up on Monday morning the council workmen had been out early and Calle Mar was cleared and cleaned as well as all the buntting and canopies taken down; the weather forecast is hot and sunny with a slight breeze down from the mountains and the rest of the week into the weekend is more of the same, in the sun out of the shade and with no breeze it is very hot – 34 degs ! After our tea and toast we went out for a walk around the village with Cheta ; the pictures below and above show the work on the new pool and Plaza Pozo del Rey is progressing and the Mosaic Mural is nearly finished – as we got to the Mural the designer was there checking out the final stages,Conchi Ferrer Ramirez is also producing the Mural on the wall along the new Plaza Vendimia and she described what she is making to represent the ‘ Vendimia ’Watch this space for the pictures ! Over in Bridgenorth our dear friend Penny has had a nasty fall and has broken her shoulder and fractured the top of her arm, she is going to have an operation on her shoulder on Friday so we wish her all the best and a quick recovery. Get well soon Penny !!In the evening we watched the two football games from Poland, first it was the England v France match which ended 1-1 with England just bout hanging on and then it was the Ukraine v Sweden game, both these teams are in the England group so it important to see how they play; the colors of the two teams are both yellow so the stadium was totally yellow ! Ukraine won 2-1 and both teams played well !Andre Shevchenko scored both the goals for Ukraine something he couldn't do when he played for Chelsea ! Later we watched the Film on TVE1which was “ True Grit ” with John Wayne .

Thought for the Day;

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.
