I was up early, again, this morning to
welcome back little ‘Miss Bella’ for the day, she shot upstairs and we all had
a further nice lie in, before getting another day on the go, she’s back next
week, only on Tuesday, as we are out on Monday lunchtime, across at the ‘ Costa
Del Sol Hospital ‘ for my six month review/check up with the ‘Prostate
Consultant’ – ‘Fingers Crossed’ for a good ‘ RESULT’!
After freshening up we had our regular light
breakfast of fresh fruit (Bananas) toast & tea, Brenda is pottering and I’m
now up in the office/studio on the ‘WWW’ - reading the ‘E-Mails, Facebook
Messages’ etc, before reading all the online news pages that I follow, as usual,
I’m listening to ‘Castle Radio FN 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ – at noon it’s
the very good “ Country Classics Show “ with ‘David Sibbald’ – as I type/post today’s
Blog!
This morning has started dry & sunny,
there is light/cool breeze blowing, up off the Mediterranean, so the clouds are
clearing and the sky is blue, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 20 degs+ -
overnight only dropping down to 13 degs+
- tomorrow we could now have a little of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ – but still on the 18
degs+ mark, the rest of the week and over the coming weekend it’s staying dry
and sunny, with just a few patchy clouds hanging around, hovering in the high ‘
teens’ – 18/19 degs+ - next week is now looking settled, dry and sunny, but going
colder, down to 14/15 degs, as the next new, colder/windy ‘ Atlantic’ front
comes in, watch this space.
Tomorrow morning we are going to call into
the main ‘ Medical Centre’ – down in Sabinillas, to see if we can arrange a new
Doctor, we are then going along the coast road to ‘Pueblo Guadiaro ‘ to the ‘
Iceland’ supermarket for all our ‘Xmas’ essentials, especially as it’s the 50%
off ‘ Black Friday Week’! On Thursday evening ‘ Scruffy’ is back with us in ‘
Doggy World Heaven’ for a sleep-over, he’s
being collected in the afternoon on Friday, as usual on Friday morning I’m out
on my travels, back down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping, starting at ‘ItsZabar’
which will be open after his week’s holiday.
It’s our ‘48th Wedding
Anniversary’ on Friday the 29th November, we were married on a
Monday, at ‘ Christ Church’ in Port Sunlight, on the Wirral, followed by a
reception at the ‘ Bridge Inn’ – next to the Church, where we met, as I was the
resident live-in Assistant Manager, Brenda came to work, part-time, in the ‘
Cocktail Bar’ in the evenings, over the weekends, our dear friend Jane’s Dad,
Bert Horsley was the Manager, he later told me to ‘ Marry’ Brenda, ‘ Don’t let
her go’! I did & didn’t!!
See below;
On Sunday we are celebrating, at the ‘ La
Finca Thai Fusion’ – past Sotogrande, in the hills, as we are going along for
their highly recommended ‘Sunday Roast Lunch’ – watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are going to
have our favourite “ Chicken Schnitzels” – using ‘Escalopes of Chicken Breast’ – coated
in breadcrumbs from the local Bakery – shallow-fried in Vegetable Oil, until crisp
& golden, then finished ‘ Holstein ‘ style, garnished with Anchovy Fillets
& Capers and topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg! Served with finely sliced ‘ French Green Beans
and triple-cooked ‘ Frits’ It will be interesting to see how the ‘Michelin-Starred’
celebrity Chef ‘ Marcus Wareing’ – prepares the same dish on this week’s ‘
MasterChef: The Professionals’ ‘test?!
Last night after supper we watched the next
episode of ‘ Vienna Blood’ as the two miss-matched Detectives solved another
gruesome Murderer on the rampage, in Vienna, back in 1906, this week with seven
killings, with the background of an anti-Semitic thread, as an anti-immigrant
Ayran brotherhood is on the loose, both Detectives have family problems at the
same time, all very gripping, one not to miss!
This evening we will catch the next episode
of the ‘Gold Digger’ – then later the next episode of ‘Rick Stein’s Secret
France’ as he visits the ‘Perigord’ region ( Black Truffles, Walnuts &
Duck) before reaching the ‘Cote Catalan’
- near the Spanish border.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
