We all had a nice lie in this morning, ‘Lolo’
spent the night on his rug/bed by the side of our bed, he’s settled in very
well and is into our routine, after freshening up Brenda took him for his first
walk of the day, yesterday evening ‘ Chispa’ joined us on the evening walk,
around the ‘Plaza de la Vendima’- she
calls in all the time during the day.
The ‘ Hot Chestnut – Castañas ’ man was
doing a roaring trade, he sets up his stall in the plaza, under the sign, this
evening he’s going to start selling ‘ Baked Sweet Potatoes
As I was on the breakfast rota I had my
favourite – a ‘Toasted Crispy Smoked English Back Bacon Butty ‘- smothered in ‘
HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with our usual mugs of hot/strong
tea.
Today the sun was out earlier and the sky
was clear & blue, as there was a stiff breeze blowing in off the Mediterranean
( Levante ) – by lunchtime it’s due to reach 24 degs+ - tomorrow going a little
warmer, over the weekend the threat of the ‘Wet-Stuff’ is in the air, next week
is now looking a little cooler, hovering in the low 20s, as the breeze stiffens,
overnight going a lot cooler, down to 11/12 degs at times?! ( Duvet Time?!) The sunshine will still be with us, with a few
patchy clouds hanging around, on one of the forecasts it’s showing more ‘ Rain’
- still about normal for the time of the year, watch this space.
The picture below, showing the ‘ Three
Graces’ down at the Pier Head in Liverpool, was taken at twilight, yesterday
evening.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Chicken Wings ‘ with Baked Potatoes, on Friday it will be a ‘ Fish n’
Chip’ supper, Saturday, as usual will be a ‘ Steak Night ‘ – then on Sunday we
will be ‘ Roasting’ for the first time in over four months ( fingers crossed !)
- next week are going to have, on Wednesday, a ‘ Beef & Vegetable Stew with
Dumplings’ !! Watch this space.
Tomorrow morning I will be out on my
travels, down to Sabinillas, as usual, but first I’m going along the ‘ New’ Mercadona
– along the coast road, before Estepona, for our main weekly shopping, hopefully
it’s stocked the same as the one in Sabinillas, Then I will come back to the ‘
English’Bookshop, the local market & ‘ Super Sol ‘ as usual, watch this
space.
On Sunday in & around the village there
is another ‘Mountain Bike Race’ organised by local club, see below.
This afternoon/evening we will hopefully be
catching up with all the ‘Quiz Shows’ that we follow, if the ‘IPTV’ system is
back online, we are still using the ‘ BBC I Player & ITV Hub’ to catch all
the main programmes etc, especially at the moment all the news about ‘Brexit’!
Watch this space.
PS; It’s just been announced that they have
reached a ‘Divorce Agreement’ with the ‘ EU’ – but it’s still to be approved by
Parliament, sitting for the first time on this Saturday, let’s wait & see !!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
