I was up early again this morning to see
little ‘ Miss Bella’ back with us for the day, she shot upstairs and we then
all had a nice lie in, next week she is not with us on Monday/Tuesday as
normal, as it’s the half-term school holidays.
After freshening up we had a quick breakfast
of ‘ Weetabix’ for me and Brown toast for Brenda with mugs of hot tea, I then
shot off to get the car checked, I called into our local garage and he checked
the Oil & Water etc, then I carried on down to the local ‘ Repsol’ garage
for Petrol & to check the tyre pressures, as well as going through the car
wash!
Brenda is now washing/shampooing her hair,
I’m doing mine later! The ‘ outfits’ are ready for tomorrow morning, when we
are off on our travels up to ‘ Alhaurin el Grande’ above Malaga, to meet our
dear friend ‘ Joyce Baby’ ( from
Chester) – her house is in the centre of the Town, she is over for five weeks
this time, so we will have a good catch-up with all the news! Watch this space.
I then prepared this evening supper “
Braised ‘Entrecote’ Beef Slices in a Rich Red Wine, Onion, Shallots &
Mushroom Salsa “ – the Beef is dusted in seasoned flour and browned-off, I
sweated off the sliced Onions, Shallots & Garlic, with the Baby Mushrooms,
adding a dash of ‘Lea & Perrins & Tabasco’ – together with a large spoon
of Tomato Frito, before adding a good ‘slug’ of Brenda’s Red Wine! I used the ‘ Chicken Gravy ‘ as the stock and
cooked-off the Salsa, pouring it over the browned off Beef slices in the ‘Casserole’
dish to go in the over this evening to finish cooking. We are having Brenda’s
famous ‘ Mashed Potatoes’ along with ‘ Garden Peas a la Flamande ‘ – ( sliced
Baby Glazed Carrots tossed with the Peas)
This morning we have a beautiful day down
here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun broke through earlier and the sky is
blue with white clouds over the mountains, there is a light breeze, so it’s very
pleasant to be out & about, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 20 degs+ - the
forecasts for tomorrow are looking OK, only one is showing a little ‘RAIN’! The
rest of the week and over the weekend it’s going to be dry, warm & sunny,
with a few patchy clouds hanging around, hovering in the low 20s, overnight now
down to 13/14 degs, next week is looking similar, at the moment, staying
settled with just the threat of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ hanging in the air at times,
watch this space.
Yesterday evening after supper we watched
the next gripping episode of the “ Dublin Murders “ on BBC TV 1 – the next
episode is this evening, as the plot started to unravel, watch it find out
how?!
Thought s for the Day; See above.
