MONDAY 21st/DECEMBER 2015.
No lie in this
morning here in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ Overnight ‘Reina’ came on the bottom of
the bed under her blanket after starting in her duvet in the office, ‘Charlie’ settled
down on the main settee in the lounge and ‘Barny’ was on his bed also in the
lounge as usual; this morning ‘Charlie’ came up and jumped onto the bed to ask
to go out, I took him first and then when I came back it was ‘Barny’s’ turn,
finally Brenda went out with ‘Reina around the block!
Brenda then feeds them in
sequence as they queue up at the kitchen door! ‘Charlie’ is on his tablets
twice a day. At the moment ‘Chispa’ has just come crashing in and is playing
with all her friends!! ‘Reina’ is being collected this evening and is then back
with us on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings – ‘Barny & Charlie’ are
now settling in for their two week Xmas holidays!!
It’s another
glorious day here in sunny Manilva, the sun was out early and the skies are clearing,
there is no breeze so its very pleasant, the forecaster’s are now saying that
its the 4th hottest year, ever, on record! We have more of the same
to come this week and over the Xmas weekend as well as up to the end of the
month.
After breakfast we went out for a nice walk
with ‘Barny & Charlie’ around the village, I called into the ‘Tabacs’ to
charge my ‘Pay As You Go’ Mobile phone, Mano is calling in later to help me
check out the phone systems etc. We then stopped at the little ‘Stationery Shop’
for some Post It Pads & Pins before on the way back calling into our
butchers for some 'Stewing Beef' for tomorrow nights supper of ‘Beef &
Vegetable Stew with ‘Crispy’ Dumplings’ Andy is joining us as he’s on a weeks
holiday before Xmas, last the night the ‘Roast Leg of New Zealand Lamb’ was
very tasty & tender, it was cooked to perfection – even if I do say so
myself! The vegetable selection and ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes were also perfect, we
are having it again this evening ‘Cold’ ( we always enjoy cold roast meats!) with
a fry-up of the leftovers!
Last night we
watched the “ BBC Sports Personality 2015 “ awards show which was from a very
large Congress Centre in Belfast; it was very good with excellent production
and with just the right note for the people of Northern Ireland, Andy Murray
won the main award along with other various sports stars in all the different
category’s.
Meanwhile over
in England Liverpool lost at Watford(?!) 3-0 and played terribly while over
here Real Madrid WON 10-2 against 9 man Rayo
Vallecano with Bale scoring 4, Benzema 3 & Ronaldo 2!!
Tomorrow its the
annual ‘El Gordo’ National Lottery draw so by this time tomorrow we could be ‘Millionaire’s’
