A COLD AND CRISP SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 3rd/ FEBRUARY. 2014.

Today it’s a little overcast and cool – so this morning after our tea and toast we made two calls to England, one to arrange the transfer to our Spanish bank account of some annuities that come in at this time of year and the other call to a company in Swindon that I’ve dealt with for many years, now on-line to order some Mouthwash tablets to be sent to the house as there is no alternative product here in Spain! I then shot around to the chemists to pick up some tablets that I needed.

We then wrapped ourselves up and went for a long walk with the dog down and then up to the Manilva Green Hotel to see Mano and drop off his papers; Anna is due back from England this coming Sunday evening late at Malaga Airport.

Last night here in ‘La Liga’ Real Madrid drew 1-1 in Bilbao and Ath.Mardrid won 4-0 and so went to the top of the ‘La Liga’ by 3 points with Barcelona and Real both second! Over in England in the afternoon Liverpool could only draw at West Brom 1-1; tonight is the big game of the season so far when Manchester City welcome Chelsea !

We had a really enjoyable evening with Claus and Doreen last night when they joined us for supper; thanks for the ‘Birds of Paradise’ from your garden and the Smoked Trout that Claus had smoked in his ‘Smoker’ in their villa, we are going over next Sunday in the afternoon to see the villa and join them no doubt for something as the following week they are due to go back to Bremen, its over 2,800kms and it takes them usually 30 hours! It was very nice getting to know you and we are looking forward to our future contacts; this morning I’ve sent them an E-mail and have become friends with Claus on Facebook! Doreen also left some very nice comments in out little ‘Red Guest’ comments book – thanks!!

This evening we are going across to the hospital past Marbella as Brenda has an appointment with the Eye consultant for some update tests; on the way back I will top up the petrol and cash as tomorrow morning I’ am going across to la Linea to the traffic department again with Andy to hopefully get my driving license changed to Spanish! Watch this space.

Tonight for supper we are having cold Chicken with a fry-up of the leftover vegetables & potatoes for supper when we get back.

Thought for the Day; See above.
