TUESDAY 10th/
DECEMBER 2013.
This
morning after our tea & toast we shot off in different directions, Brenda
went down to our local post office to post the Xmas cards and I went to the
local bank in the village to pay our water bill and then down to the butchers
for tonight’s Pork Chops and some boned Chicken legs & thighs to go in the
curry tomorrow.
Andy then
called in to do some updating. clearing etc. on the PCs as well as a new sales
header on the top of our blog-page and introducing me to the ‘Pinterest’ site; the
stats on the blog-page are fascinating, hits from Russia,USA,Europe,Ireland, and
China and of cause the UK! Today already there have been 27 hits, yesterday
142and last month over 3,000 !! I didn’t know that I was such a ‘Star’!! Andy
and Maria are joining us for supper next Tuesday.
At the
moment on the small PC I’ am watching the live coverage on the BBC News page the
‘Mandela Memorial Service’ from South Africa at the ‘FNB’ stadium in
Johannesburg as well as on Spanish TVE1.At lunchtime Tim called on the Skype
video to have good catch up and chat mainly about the weather last week down on
the North Wales coast.
Tonight for
our supper we are having Baked Pork Chops with glazed Apple slices with Cabbage
with Acelgas, diced Carrots and baby Turnips and our favorite ‘Breton style’
Potatoes made with mixed peppers.
Yesterday
we had a very quiet day at home watching the TV; first we caught Paul Newman
film “ Absence of Malice ” from 1981 with Sally Field, then the award winning (
8 Oscars !) “ Amadeus ” from 1984 with F.Murray Abraham ,Tom Hulce and
Elizabeth Berridge and finally after our supper ‘Don’t Say a Word’ from 2001
with Michael Douglas,Sean Bean,Jennifer Esposito,Femke Janssen and Skye McCole
Bartusiak. One ‘Helluva’ film day!
Tonight
it’s an football evening on TVE1 and upstairs in the office as Real Madrid are
in Copenhagen and Manchester City are at Bayern Munich. Real won 0-2 but the result of the night was City beating Bayern Munich 2-3 after being 0-2 down after 12 minutes!!
Thought for
the Day; See above.
