SUNNY MANILVA THIS TUESDAY MORNING

TUESDAY 4th/ JUNE 2013.

I’ve just come back from walking Brenda down to the bus stop to catch a bus down to Sabinillas for her hairdressing appointment; no need as Sally Ann’s husband, Dominico came along, in his Jaguar, after doing the school run and gave her a lift down.

I’ am catching up on the WWW and when the dog comes crashing in later I will take her for a walk; the forecast is looking good with more of the same weather to come, in the ‘Pyrenees’s’ they have had heavy snow so they are skiing in June! The pictures above taken this morning as I was walking Chispa show the railings being painted in 'Plaza Pozo del Rey'and the start of putting up the railings along the wall above 'Plaza Vendimia' The work on the Pensioner's Club is finished and it is due to open shortly; the view of the Church shows the work on the main tower from a different perspective.

The coverage of the ‘ Criterium du Dauphine’ is not very good so I’ am having to follow it on the BBC Sports page; Chris Froome has dropped down to seventh but remains in touch, the second stage yesterday was hilly from Chatel to Oyonnax – today stage is over 167kms from Amberieu-en-Bugey to Tarare.

We are starting to find some outfits to wear for the forthcoming weekends celebrations! These days we don’t dress up as much, especially at this time of the year so we are having to dig in the wardrobes and find something to wear, so Brenda says!! I think this is a ‘Hidden’ message for I need something new! I’ am fine as my weight loss down to 14stone with another stone to come off means that I can get into more of my jacket’s and especially trousers ( I have had to tighten my belt by 2/3 notches!) Which means that I’ am ‘All right Jack’ Watch this space – literally!

This evening for supper we are having Minute steak with sautéed Mushrooms and Onions along with finely sliced Green Beans and chips – mine toped with a fried Egg! The films over the last couple of days have just been repeats so there is nothing to recommend.

Thought for the Day; See above.
