SUNNY MANILVA AND SOTOGRANDE TODAY

TUESDAY 18^th/ JUNE 2013.

We had our last little lie in this morning and after our tea and toast we freshened ourselves up; we then got everything on the go for tomorrows ‘Welcome Tapas Buffet’ – my mobile went and it was the car-hire people from Marbella asking if we would like the car for an extra day, free! So they dropped it off at lunchtime, a brand new seven-seater ‘Toyota Verso’ which you can see in the pictures above; we then shot down to do all our shopping in Sabinillas,a day early which means that we have a free-day tomorrow, this will give us a lot more time to get everything ready.

Later this afternoon after we had un-packed all the stock for the week’s forthcoming festivities we went for a nice drive down the coast to Sotogrande, we called into our favorite wine merchants ‘Anglo Fine Wines’ – just for a look! We dropped down into the marina and had a nice walk around on a beautiful, breezy sunny day as you can see in the pictures above – its still our favorite marina down here on our stretch of coast, the views are to die for across to Gibraltar and Africa and all the restaurants and bar’s look very inviting, and not too expensive!

Sports update; Spain have just beaten Italy 2-4 in the Euro U21 Final with Alcatara scoring a hat-trick and so retained the Cup! Last night over in Brazil in the 'Confederations Cup' Nigeria beat Hahiti 6-1 Now for the bad news,the British and Irish Lions LOST this afternoon to the 'ACT Brumbies' 14-12 !! Oh dear !! The first test is on Saturday.

This evening for supper we are having pan-fried Calves Liver; lighty dusted in flour and seared pink with crispy Smoked Bacon and sautéed Onions along with thick-cut sautéed baked potatoes, yes its another mmmmmmm !

Later it will be time to watch on TVE1 the latest episode of the ‘Spanish Master Chef’ – it’s down to the last five!
