THE START OF THE WEEK IN SUNNY MANILVA

MONDAY 24^th/ TUESDAY 25^TH/ JUNE 2013.

We were up bright and early on Monday as I was taking all the folks, including Brenda across to Estepona for a shopping and sightseeing trip, then a snack lunch; I then shot back to the house and made the ‘Steak, Kidney and Mushroom Pie’- just ‘Steak and Mushroom’ for Jenny in a separate dish! Brenda had made her know famous ‘Mashed Potatoes’ before she left. Brenda also got ready Baby Carrots and Peas and sliced Green Beans which we had bought at the Sunday market; I also picked out the smallest Baby New Potatoes, from the market also which I boiled in their skins and then tossed them in hot Oil and Butter! I picked up the gang in Estepona and did a short sightseeing trip back along the coast and up to Manilva. Sadly no pictures as the camera was on charge, after all it’s been in use a lot over the weekend!

In the evening we had some light Tapas including some local fresh Gambas which Jack has been craving for! We then had a nice family meal as the sisters reminisced about their early lives together with another fine Rioja to help things along. I ‘Ferry’ the folks back and forth from their apartment in the very good and fast Toyota.

Today, Tuesday we have been getting ready this morning our final meal with the gang; Roast Turkey with a savory Herb Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets and finger licking pan gravy; Brenda has got her vegetable selection ready -Cauliflower and Broccoli florets in a three Cheese sauce, fresh local Carrots and Baby Brussels Sprout tossed in Smoked Bacon snippets; Baby New Potatoes and just for Jack Roast Potatoes in Duck Fat!! In the middle of the morning I took the folks down to Sabinillas, they are getting a taxi back up and then will go for a swim in the pool at the Aparthotel

Late in the afternoon we had a visit from the 'Guerrero Clan' - Mano,Anna,Sally Ann,Dominico and Dylan,as Mano said you don't often see 5 'Guerrero's' at any one time! They called to wish Brenda " Happy Birthday " - so we had some Birthday cake and a drink!! Watch out for some pictures of tonight’s final last supper later!In the words of Jack " BB Malcolm! " - 'Bloody Beautiful' !!
