SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY

SUNDAY 9th/JUNE 2013.

What a gorgeous day as we got up this morning, we have more to come and getting hotter, this time of the year is one of the nicest as there is still a little cool air around before we hit the very high temperatures of July/August; for breakfast we have tea and toast along with fresh local Orange juice to set us up for the day, this morning we have nothing to get ready as we are not having a Sunday roast this evening.

It was then time for trying on trousers and shirts from my wardrobe; the result is that I have now have three/four more pairs to wear ( God bless Marks & Spencer’s ) and two very nice ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ shirts to use, the Red one is a bit special! The outcome of all this is that I’ am taking Brenda down to Sabinillas on Monday/Tuesday morning or maybe Estepona on Wednesday for new outfits !!( For her !!!)

This means that we are having a lazy day doing nothing; we are going for a good walk with the dog later and are stopping at Bar Rojas for a Paella lunch. Todays Paella was to die for, with Chicken,Prawns,Calamari, seasoned and flavoured just right and piping hot from the pan! Mano joined us for a Cruz Campo as he was out for a walk to get some peace and quiet !This afternoon is sports time again!

Brenda is going to watch the French Open Tennis men’s final as it is on ‘Telecinco’as Rafael Nadel seeks history against David Ferrer to become the first man to win a ‘Grand Slam’ eight times! It has just started!! Nadel has won the first set 6-3, he then won the next two sets 6-2 6-3 and so he is the new French Open champion for the eight time!

Meanwhile upstairs I will try to follow the last stage of the ‘Criterium du Dauphine’ as Chris Froome goes for the win, next the ‘Tour de France’ at the end of the month; it’s the “Centenary” of the classic race!No luck at the moment! Chris Froome was second in today's very wet stage and took the Yellow jersey as the winner of the 'Criterium'

Then this evening we will be able to watch on ‘laSexta’ the ‘Canadian Grand Prix’from Montreal with Vettel on pole position and Hamilton second, Alonso sixth and sadly Button down on 14th! Vettel lead from start to finish( Boring ) but the drive of the day was Alonso who passed Hamilton with seven laps to go,taking the second spot after starting sixth on the grid!

The pictures above taken by Gary from the ‘Resident’ newspaper with his professional camera are a lot clearer and more colorful than I can take on my littler ‘ Casio Exilim’ and show the horse display in more detail from yesterday’s ‘Romeria’ procession – thanks again Gary !

For supper we are having flattened Breast of Turkey cooked in foaming Lime Butter with my savory Basmati Rice and a creamy Mushroom sauce on the side – yes it’s yet another mmmmmmmmmmm!Yummy !!

The late film was called " Safe " from only 2012 and starred Jason Statham, being Jason Statham, and a young  actress Catherine Chan in an all action, shoot on sight ( Lots ! ) story about the Russian Mafia,Chinese Triads and corrupt New York cops.

Thought for the Day; See above.
