SUNNY AND HOT MANILVA ON TUESDAY

TUESDAY 11^th/ JUNE 2013.

This morning it is hot, we have just come back from our walk around the village and we had to keep in the shade for the first time this year; so it is looking good for the folk’s visit next week starting on Wednesday, Jack and Lyn have called into see Jenny on the Wirral yesterday and this morning set off for Scotland, which Jack has always wanted to visit.

Before we went out after, our early shower Brenda had a trying on her ‘Trousseau’ session! We have plan ‘A’ for Friday lunch but plan ‘B’for Saturday’s dinner has yet to be chosen! Watch his space.

PS; I’ am all right ‘Jack’ – I have my full wardrobe planned!!

We are now into our summer routine especially in the afternoons as it gets even hotter; up on the roof terrace with no shade so we have to wait for the sun to move around in the early evening, we then can get out and listen to some music as we have our evening ‘Cocktails’ and catch up with our current books.The picture below of Sabinilla beach was taken very early this morning,the boat filled with sand is for family parties to use as BBQ's - all the beaches along the coast have them in fact in Estepona they have just re-newed them with steel replica's,painted the same - for safety reasons!

Tonight for supper we are having Baked Pork Chop (English style) which we picked up this morning on our walk, Brenda has Cabbage with Alselgas and mashed Carrots and Baby Turnips on the go and this evening I ‘am going to dry-sauté slices of Baked Potatoes, on the side we have my now famous ‘Tomato salsa’

Last night later on after the film on TVE2 I watched the live music show from the studio’s of RNE Radio3 – this week it was a very hot Blues band “ The Carvin Jones Band ” He is from Phoenix USA and his drummer and bass player are Italian, a very together lade back blues band with some fantastic guitar playing from him, with a light Jimi Hendrix influence ! Eric Clapton rates him as the best new Blues guitarist playing; the picture above show the band hitting the high spots – “ The Carvinator ” RULES !!

PS; The result of the game in Newcastle,New South Wales as the British and Irish Lions rattled up 10 tries in a one-sided romp over an outclassed 'Queensland-New South Wales Country XV' was 0-64.
