SATURDAY 8th/
JUNE 2013.
We had a
little lie in this morning before our tea and toast breakfast; then after a
quick shower I’ am watching ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ as I’ am typing this
blog.Today for the first time in a long time my weight was below the 14 stone mark,just! The weather is fine and over the weekend it is getting hotter into next
week, by Tuesday it will be up to 33degs! The 'Romeria' festival started last night as you can see in the pictures above;they go down to the bottom of the valley,next to the Roman Baths,where the actual shrine is - then their are church services,music and dancing and of course eating over the two days!The photos were taken by Gary from the 'Resident' newspaper - he posted them on Facebook and allows me to post them on the blog - thanks Gary!
We are waiting to speak to Jack and Lyn after they find Norah's house in the 'Bermuda/Runcorn Tri-Angle'as they should have landed at Manchester Airport earlier this morning from Australia ! Brenda has just spoken to Lyn over at Norah's house in Runcorn; they arrived safely after their 30 hour flight from Melbourne with a stop at Dubai where they changed from 'Quantas' to 'Emirates' Welcome to the folks, we can't wait to see you on the 19th!

morning it is the Rugby from Australia as the British & Irish Lions take on
the ‘Queensland’s Reds’ in their second tour game; this afternoon it is the
Ladies Final of the French Open Tennis as Sharapova,last years winner takes on
Serena Williams who she has not beaten in ten years!Their head to head score is 13-2 to Serena! This evening on Spanish TV
the Grand Prix qualifying from Canada is on as Alonso tries for his first
win this year. Updates as the day goes on.

I have live coverage of the tennis with American commentators including John McEnroe as Sharapova wins the first game of the first set - just! Serena has won the first set 6-4.Serena has won the French Open after winning the second set 6-4 as well !!

afternoon I ‘am going to try and get coverage of the ‘Criterium du Dauphine’in
the next to last’ Queen’ of stages as the riders take on five categorized
climbs and finally the ascent of the famous ‘Alpe d’Huez’ Watch this space.Sadly I can't find any live coverage of the tour;

we are having our Saturday ‘Stable’ – Steak and Chips ! Then we will catch the late film on the movie
channel.Tonight it was a musical drama called " Take the Lead " from 2006 with Antonio Banderas playing the part of a real life person 'Pierre Dulaine' who introduced 'Dance Classrooms' into the American school system,
