SABINILLAS AND MANILVA LOCAL NEWS UPDATE;

MONDAY 17th/ JUNE 2013.

Over the weekend its all been happening down in Sabinillas; the ‘Canal Sur Radio Andalucia’ team have been broadcasting live from the sea front on Saturday and from Puerto de la Duquesa on Sunday, they had interviews, topical news, music – all with locals taking part; there was a ‘Horse Fair’ on the beach with all the local horse people taking part in the trials; the council have started to tile the planters along the sea front with the local ceramic workshops help – they look rather nice.

Meanwhile up here in Manilva our local TV and Radio station was broken into over the weekend- the good news was that out local police caught the culprit, using the surveillance cameras! After all it is right above the Police station only a few yards away!! The fire close by in the hills behind us was quickly under control by the fire helicopters long with the help of the ‘Civil Protection Department’ and the supervision of the local ‘Guardia Civil’

Above is a little round up of the news in pictures taken with help of various web-pages, blogs and the ‘Resident’ newspaper – all local to the area.

Thought for the Day; Stay Local.
