This
morning the “ Sunborn Gibraltar ” arrived in territorial waters off Gibraltar on the worlds largest transport
vessel and this evening it will be floated off into its permanent berth in the
‘Ocean Village Marina’; it is the worlds first five star yacht hotel and has
come from South East Asia, Malaysia, where it was built after a month-long
passage.
It is 142
meters long and is seven storeys high, it has 189 guest rooms offering five
star elegance, Spa and Fitness centre’s,cocktail lounges, fine dining
restaurants and a grandiose ballroom. Conference and events are catered for in
a flexible meeting space for up to 540 delegates. Cost is 150 million euros !
