“ ST. DWYNWEN’ S DAY – DYDD SANTES DWYNWEN “
“ BURNS NIGHT “
We had a nice relaxing lie in this morning
after a good night’s sleep, for a change, after a slow freshen up it was time
for our breakfast, I had Brenda’s famous ‘ Campo’ Poached Eggs on Toast and she
had her favourite ‘ Campo’ Boiled Egg, with Brown Toast fingers, with mugs of
strong/hot Tea to set us up for the day ahead.
Yesterday evening the ‘ Talleres’ Garage
people, Elvis & Jesus, who work for Tony, called in with all our documents,
from the boot of our car, they had ‘managed’ to get the car keys back from the ‘
-------‘ and have brought the car back up to the garage on the breakdown truck,
we will be going along on Monday morning, with Andy, to find out what has
happened re the ‘ ITV, Repairs & possible Damage’ to the car and will
decide what to do about it then (Cost
etc) Watch this space.
We took things easy for the rest of the
morning until Leah picked us up at 1-00 pm and took us down to Sabinillas for
our weekly shopping at Mercadona & Super Sol’ – by then both of them were
very busy, after unloading back at the house, we then have settled down for the
rest of the day.
Overnight we had very severe thunder and
cloud bursts, lasting most of the night, this morning and over lunchtime we
were lucky as the rain had stopped, it was cold, grey & overcast, but dry, at
the moment the rain has started again, unlike the rest of Spain, which has the
worst snow storms in over 60 years, with more lives lost overnight, the snow
has hit Malaga and down the coast, just stopping before reaching us, Mijas
& Alhaurine el Grande, inland, are cut off, it’s still only 14 degs+ today.
But then from tomorrow, and all of next
week, when the new ‘ Atlantic’ front comes in, we are in for the return of the
sunshine down on the Costa Del Sol and her in sunny Manilva! Slowly raising to the high ‘ teens’ – by next
weekend back up to 20/21 degs+! Watch this
space.
On the sports front this weekend; it’s the ‘
Fourth Round of the FA Cup’ over in the UK, on Sunday, Manchester City welcome Fulham
and Liverpool have the short trip down to play lowly Shrewsbury Town, over here
in ‘La Liga’ Barcelona are down the coast to play Valencia and tomorrow Real
Madrid travel to Real Valladiod.
The ‘National Hunt Racing’ this afternoon
is from Cheltenham & Doncaster.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Fillet Steaks’ with all the trimmings, then on Sunday It’s going to be
my special recipe of the classic ‘ Lancashire Hotpot’
We are now taking things very easy, keeping
warm and relaxing after all the trials & tribulations of the past few days!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
