We were both up very early this morning and
after a quick freshen up we shot down to Sabinillas to the main ‘ Medical Centre’
as I had an emergency appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, after yesterday
afternoons review/check up, she checked/read all my reports/results etc, she
has prescribed a new series of ‘Pain Relief’ tablets/Paracetamol, for my left
arm ‘ Herpes Zostos’ severe virus, my right leg ‘Cellullitis’ is clearing, she
has also adjusted/cancelled some of my prescription tablets, as I have major
problem with my Blood Level/Sugar readings etc.
I now have, which the current problems have
affected, ‘ Type 2 Diabetes ‘ !! Natalia talked us through the situation, she
showed me how to use the latest ‘Blood Glucose’ monitoring system, to monitor
the ‘ Hyperglycemia’ – next she showed Brenda how to use, in an emergency, if I
collapse etc, an injection kit ( Life Saving ) to use ‘ASAP ‘ – then call the
ambulance!
Next she set up the prescription for the ‘Insulin’
Kit, which Brenda has just picked up from our local Chemists, next she took us
into the ‘Practise Nurse’ who took us through all the procedures, we are going
back, first thing tomorrow morning, when she is going to give me the first
test, then insulin shot ,with more details etc, then on Friday morning, first
thing, we have another emergency
appointment with Natalia, so as she can check
everything is correct/working ‘ RESULT’ !!
Back at the house we had our usual toast
& tea, as we sat down and took in all the latest news!
In ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ ‘ Scruffy’ is not
back with us until Friday, now, as the ‘Radiotherapy ‘ machine, at the Hospital,
in Malaga, is being serviced over the next two days! Little ‘ Miss Bella’ is
back on Monday & Tuesday, in August we are very busy as ‘ Chico’ is back
for his holidays ( 3 weeks) at the start
of the month – then later in the month we have ‘Sunny’ with us for a couple of
weeks & ‘Pucci’ for a short break! ‘Chisps’ will no doubt be calling in to see
all her friends!!
The sun was out very early this morning, as
we were, the sky had cleared and was blue, there was just a very slight breeze,
so by the time returned it was already very hot & sunny, by lunchtime up to
28 degs+ - tomorrow the same, then on Saturday/Sunday it’s going up to 30 degs+
- next week is looking to be a ‘ Hot-One ‘ hovering in the low 30s, - overnight
only down to 21/22 degs, all week, by next Wednesday up to 32 degs+! Watch this
space.
Yesterday over in Liverpool the cruise
liner the “ CMV Magellan’ was berthed for the day, as usual at the ‘Pier Head’ –
the picture below shows her passing the beach at Crosby, on her way out of the
River Mersey, you can see in the bottom of the picture one of the Iron Statues,
designed by Sir Antony Gormley, based on his own naked body, that are placed
along the beach , it’s called ‘Another Place’ and there are one hundred of
them, looking out to sea, which are exposed when the tide goes out! ( click on to enlarge!)
More Tennis from Wimbledon this afternoon,
as well ‘Stage 5’ of the ‘Tour de France’ from Saint-De-des- Vosges to Colmar,
over 176 kms, a hilly route, before tomorrow first mountain stage!
For our supper this evening we are having
the rest of last night’s supper, freshened up with some more ‘ Goodies’ –
tomorrow evening, as we have given the ‘ Staff’ the night-off, they are going
along to ‘ Bar Castillo’ for a light ‘ Tapas’ supper and then going down,
later, to the ‘ Casa des Torres’ Cultural Centre, to watch the ‘ Free’ Tango
& Bossa Nova Concert.
Next week it’s the ‘ Virgen deL Carmen’
Fishermans Festival – on Tuesday, as they carry the ‘Tronos- Tableau’ from
Castillo de la Duquesa, the old fishing port, to Puerto de la Duquesa, the new
fishing port, then it goes out to sea on a fishing boat, to be blessed!
At the end of the month, over the weekend
of 26/28th of July – it’s the main ‘ Feria de Manilva’- watch this
space.
Last night after super we watched the
second episode of “ Dark Money “ - this
evening it’s the excellent documentary on the “ Ritz Hotel “ in London.
