I was up early this morning to welcome back
little ‘ Miss Bella ‘ for the day, with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ - she’s
back tomorrow also, she was picked up by Leah, yesterday afternoon, as she was
able to bring her son home after his nasty accident on a ‘Segway’- after
breaking his arm in two places and smashing his wrist.
‘ Bella’ has settled in very well and ate
all her breakfast, she’s a lovely happy girl and a real character, she is
following Brenda around at the moment, ‘
Chispa’ has been calling in & out all weekend to see us, ‘ Scruffy’ is back
with us on Thursday afternoon, as Adrian is having his first radiotherapy
treatment.
We had another hot and uncomfortable night,
after freshening up we had our toast & tea, Brenda is now
washing/shampooing her hair, meanwhile I have ‘ retired’ to the office/studio
to go on the ‘WWW’ and then type/post today’s Blog.
On Wednesday afternoon we are going across to
the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital ‘ – past Marbella, as I have my emergency appointment
at the ‘ Dermatology Department’ for a check up/review on both of my problems,
the ‘ Cellultis ‘ on my right leg and the ‘Herpes Zoster’ virus on my left arm, both seven days courses of antibiotics/cream
finish on Tuesday, my leg is starting to clear, as well as my arm, but I’m
having ‘ Jip’ during the night, with sorness & pain from my arm! Watch this
space.
Overnight a stiff breeze, not on all the
forecasts, came along and started rattling all the shutters, this morning it’s
still very hot & clammy, the sun is out and there are few patchy clouds
still hanging around, it’s still by lunchtime going to reach 30 degs+ overnight down to 17/18 degs, the rest of the
week is staying the same, hovering in the high 20s/low 30s, by the weekend
going up to 33/34 degs by Saturday! The following week is looking even warmer,
watch this space.
Over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, Sandra &
Bill will no doubt be celebrating over the weekend and today, as it’s “ Canada
Day’ – back in 1867, the three separate colonies of the ‘Province of Canada,
Nova Scotia and New Brunswick’ were joined into a single ‘ Dominion’
Back here in sunny Manilva we have a quiet
week, so we are taking things very easy, relaxing, taking ‘ Siestas’ – keeping as
cool as possible, drinking lots of cold water, with all the fans on, hopefully
feeling a little better as the week goes on, regaining our health and strength,
as we have both been under the weather and not feeling ourselves, to say the
least!
On the menu front we are still taking it
one day at the time, keeping things as simple & easy as possible, this
evening it’s Cold ‘Smoked Ham’ – topped with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs and a few ‘
triple-cooked’ “ Chips “
We will, of course, be watching the start
of the tennis from “ Wimbledon “ – later in the week, the semi-finals of the ‘Ladies
World Cup Football ‘ – on Saturday it’s the start of the ‘ Tour de France’ – in
Brussels, celebrating the first win of the Belgium rider, the great Eddy Mercks’-
fifty years ago! ( one of my Dad’s heroes along with Tommy Simpson- the great
British rider )
Later we are going to catch up on the ‘ BBC
I-Player’ with the pen-ultimate episode of ‘Gentleman Jack ‘ before channel
hopping.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
