I was up early this morning and after a
quick freshen up I shot off across to the ‘ Estepona Hospital’ for my next
appointment at the ‘ Physiotherapy Department’ with Encarni, the ‘Head Physio’ - for more treatment
on my left-hand, I found a good spot to park and had my usual tostado & tea
in ‘Tikitapi’ before crossing to the Hospital.
Meanwhile back at the house Brenda took ‘
Chico’ out for his first walk of the day, as he was not collected yesterday
morning, we are waiting to hear when he’s going to be picked up, it’s not a
problem as we love having him with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ for a little
longer!
As I set off the sun was already in the sky
and the clouds had been cleared by a stiff breeze and it was clear & blue, as
I passed the sparkling Mediterranean, with choppy white tops on the Blue/Green
sea, by the time I returned it was calm & still, as the breeze had dropped,
by lunchtime it will reach 24/25 degs, overnight hovering on the 14 degs mark,
normal for the time of the year, tomorrow it’s going to be a little warmer and
then on Friday/Saturday it’s due to be very hot, reaching 30 degs+! – from Sunday
into next week it’s going a little cooler as the breeze gets up, hovering in
the mid 20s, with a few patchy clouds at times, watch this space.
The first news of the day has to be the remarkable
‘ UEFA Champions League’ comeback in history as Liverpool beat Barcelona 4-0 –
4-3 on aggregate, at Anfield, to go into the final, which this year is being
played at the ‘ Estadio Wanda Metropolitano ' - the new home of Atletico Madrid.
They outclassed ‘ Barca’ physically, technically, tactically and – in the end – intellectually as the young ‘ Trent Alexander-Arnold’ ( 20 yrs) took ‘ Barca’ by surprise, as the cunning ballboy threw the ball to him, to take the corner very quickly, only for ‘Origi’ to score the winning goal as the stunned ‘ Barca’ players stood around, his second goal, the other two scored by Wijnaldum! The atmosphere at Anfield was electrifying as they sang “ You’ll Never Walk Alone “ !!

As I passed ‘ Bar Castillo ‘ later they
were all shouting for ‘ Liverpool’ as they and the whole village are Real
Madrid supporters! This evening it’s the second leg semi-final as the young Dutch team, AFC Ajax, based in
Amsterdam, welcome Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking to overturn a one-goal
(away) deficit, watch this space.
