A ' CLOSE' AND VERY HOT SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 27th/ MAY 2019.

We managed another nice lie in this morning after a late night as we watched the local election results come in (See below) After freshening up we had fresh fruit, toast & tea for breakfast, before getting another week on the go.

The sun was out early this morning, the sky was already bright blue & cloudless as we got up, there is no breeze, so it’s going to be a very hot one later, by lunchtime up to 27 degs with not a breath of air, over in Estepona, it was very ‘ Hot’! Tomorrow is going to be hotter, then from Wednesday onwards it’s going a little cooler as the light breeze returns, hovering in the mid 20s, staying the same over the weekend, next week is looking very hot & sunny all week, by Wednesday reaching 31 degs+ watch this space.

I shot off across to the ‘Estepona Hospital’ for my appointment with the ‘ Physiotherapist Consultant’ for a review/check up on my left hand, she was impressed with my improvement and has referred me back to ‘ Encarni’ for another months treatment, starting a week on Tuesday, as next Monday morning I’m at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ for my nine month review/check up with the ‘Prostate Consultant’

The ‘Polling Stations’ here in Spain close at 8-00pm, the final result of the count came around 2-00 am! Up to final 95% result the ‘ Compromiso Party ‘of the Mayor, Mario, our neighbour was leading, but at the very end lost, by 15 votes, to the ‘ IU’ Party, as it’s ‘Proportional Representation’ the ‘IU’ got six seats, ‘Compromiso’ 5 seats, the ‘PSOE’ – 5 seats and 2 others, all this means that, sadly, we will have a new Mayor, Antonio Barragan, who will have to form a ‘Coalition Party’ to govern, by the 15th June, as it requires a 9 seats majority to run the Council!

The ‘IU’ Party is communist, as is the ‘Compromiso’  Party, they split apart four years ago, when Mario and his colleagues, fell out with the other members, watch this space!

Over in North Wales this weekend the famous ‘Laburnum Arch’ came into full bloom at ‘ Bodnant Gardens’ near ‘Tal-y-Cafn’ in the Conway valley, it’s the longest in the UK, see below.

When I returned we had our weekly ‘ Menu’ meeting; this evening we are having ‘ Pan-seared Escalope’s of Chicken Breast’ in a Lemon & Balsamic Vinegar Butter Salsa, on Tuesday evening it’s going to be ‘Homemade Burgers’ from the local Butchers, Wednesday is ‘Grilled Gammon Steaks’ – Thursday it’s ‘Omelettes of Choice – Friday is ‘ Fish Night and Saturday ‘ Steak Night’ – Sunday is still TBC.

While I was out the ‘Second Chef’ had prepared all the ingredients for my famous “ Ensalada Rusa- Russian Salad “ – which I then made, to my recipe/version; diced boiled Potatoes, Garden Peas, Baby Chopped Carrots, diced Pimentos, crushed ‘Campo’ Boiled Eggs & diced Tuna, all mixed in a large bowl with ‘Mayonnaise’ - seasoned and chopped Parsley added!

This week in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’  we are busy, as ‘ Sunny’ is joining us for the first time on Tuesday evening, for a short four day stay, on Thursday & Friday morning little princess ‘Reina’ is back with us each day, then on Saturday as ‘Sunny’ leaves, ‘Lolo’ is arriving for her nearly three week holiday, over the weekend we have had two more enquires and sadly we couldn’t fit in little ‘Winnie’- the Black Pug, as we are fully booked during August! Watch this space.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m going down to the main ‘ Medical Centre’ in Sabinillas for hopefully, my appointment with the ‘Practise Nurse’ for my monthly ‘ V12’ injection, as she was a ‘no show’ the other week! On Friday morning I will be back down in Sabinillas on my travels for the weekly shopping, watch this space.

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the next episode of “ Gentleman Jack” with ‘Suranne Jones’ in the title role, it’s a historical drama, with a twist!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
