We were up early again this morning, ‘Reina’
arrived on time and after a quick cup of tea and a piece of toast we shot off
on our travels; our first port of call
was in Estepona, I dropped Brenda off outside the jewellers and drove back
around to pick her up, they gave our carriage clock the once over and
everything was fine, its all down to it being level, which we had guessed, so I’m
going to have to get the ‘spirit level’
out - as they recommended- watch this space! I then stopped at the ‘IT’ shop to
get a set of inks for the printer and a pack of printing paper.
Its the best day of the year, so far, by a
long shot, its very hot & sunny, the sky is blue and there is just a little
breeze, by lunchtime it will reach 24/25 degs, over the next few days and the
weekend we are due to more fine weather and getting hotter!
For the next few days ‘ Castle Radio FM
89.2 & Online on the WWW’ will be off air on the ‘FM Band’ but still available
online as the Station Mast is being upgraded and re-sighted, as you can see in
the picture below; don’t forget to tune in for my show ‘ Sir Malcolm’s Saturday
Classic Session’ between 11-00am - 1-00pm!
We then headed off to Marbella where I
dropped Brenda off at the far entrance of ‘ La Cañada’ with her ‘Debit Card’
burning a hole in her pocket! I carried on to the car hypermarket ‘ Norauto’ to
get two new rear tires fitted and the air-con checked, they send you a message
when the car is ready, always on time, meanwhile I walked back to ‘La Cañada’
and eventual found Brenda in a shoe shop at the far end where she bought a pair
of comfy flat slip ones, I also bought her a White Handbag as she said that she did not have one! We then hit ‘ Marks & Spencer’s’ for a look around
before going to ‘ C & As’ for some essentials, boxer shorts, socks and two
summer shirts for me and a nice pair of light summer trousers & socks for
Brenda!
The mobile message came in so I walked back
and collected the car and then drove around to pick Brenda up, I then stopped
at the ‘ Executive Car Wash’ and for 5 Euros ( very good value ) got the full
works, hand cleaned and then dried and rubbed down by hand! We then headed off
back along the coast road and up to a very sunny Manilva where we unloaded the
boot!
For this evenings supper we are having ‘
Grilled Gammon Steaks’ topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg with Garden Peas and
twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ – ‘HP’ sauce on the side. We will the watch the ‘UEFA
Europa League Cup Final’ in Basle as Liverpool take on the past two years champions
Sevilla.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
