SUNDAY 22nd / MAY 2016.
We all had a good long lie in this morning until
the church bells woke us up! ‘Reina’ sleeps in her duvet all night and then
this morning came into the bedroom and ended up on the bed having her tummy
tickled, she’s being collected later, next week she’s here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’
for five days from Monday to Friday inc. For our breakfast we had ‘ Brenda’s - “
Perfect Campo Poached Eggs “ on toast with mugs of steaming ‘ English’ ( PG
Tips !) tea as you can see in the picture below.
Its already hot & sunny and by lunchtime it will be even hotter,
27/28 degs and rising, during the night
its hovering on the 16/17 degs mark, next week is looking fine and settled with
more of the hot stuff to come, we have a quiet week ahead with no plans at the
moment, on Thursday Brenda has an appointment with the ‘ Private Physiotherapist’
down in Sabinillas in the afternoon and we are both going out on Friday morning
for our weekly shopping, Brenda’s first shopping ‘expedition’ for nearly three

At lunchtime we are going up to ' Bar Castillo' for a light ' Tapas/Paella' lunch and a cool drink,we had a very nice time, especially the 'Chicken Croquettes' - while we were sat outside Brian and his girlfriend Andrea came along in his car and we had a chat then later Mano & Anna passed us in their car with some friends. This evening I’m cooking my now famous “ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto “ for our supper, next weeks menu’s are being planned later, watch this space.See this evenings ' Risotto' below.

After supper we will watch the ‘ Copa Del
Rey Final’ between Barcelona and Sevilla which is being played at the Atl.Madrid
stadium in Madrid, Barcelona are going for the double ‘ La Liga & Cup’ and
Sevilla are also going for the double ‘ Europa League & Cup’ There has been
a big argument and a court case so that the Barcelona supporters can wave the Pro
Catalan ‘ Estelada’ Red & Yellow stripped flag at the game!
Last night we watched
the ‘ FA Cup Final’ from Wembley as Manchester Utd beat Crystal Palace 1-2, it
has not saved Louis Van Gaal job as its just been reported that Jose Mourinho
is set to be appointed their new manager next week! Watch this space.
