THURSDAY 12th / MAY 2016.
We were both up early this morning, I shot
off down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping and Brenda saw ‘ Reina’ back
with us for the day, before she had a quick shower ( Brenda not the dog!) I
picked up the local newspapers from the English Bookshop and then did the main
shop in ‘ Mercadona’ – which was very quiet, I stopped at ‘ Super Sol’ for some
‘English’ essentials before shooting back up the hill through the vine fields;
after unpacking back at the house we had ‘ Smoked Bacon Butties’ on lightly
toasted white bread with a good dash of ‘ HP’ sauce ( now made in Holland !? )
I managed to keep dry as the heavy showers
had stopped, in fact it was warm & sunny with a clear blue sky, for a while,
later the rain returned with a vengeance! Its with us for the rest of the day
but then we are going back to our normal weather for this time of the year,
very warm and sunny and getting better over the weekend into next week, watch this

We are taking things easy today and later
we will get ourselves ready to go down to the ‘ Bella Vista’ site after the ‘
Moffatt’s’ arrive, for a short/quick visit, we are taking ‘Reina’ with us, she
is being collected later by Daniela later on her way home, we will then have a
good catch up and find out about all their house hunting on the way down the
coast; we will find somewhere to eat, after I make a few suggestions, as the ‘BBQ’
has been given a ‘ rain check’ Tomorrow lunchtime we have booked a table at one
of our favourite restaurants as Tim & Thea are moving on around the cost
and up to Cadiz on Saturday morning, watch this space.
Yesterday evening we had a ‘ quiz night’ as
we caught ‘15 to 1, Countdown, Pointless & Egg Heads’ before later catching
the late film back on TVE 1 “ Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit “ from 2014, an action
spy thriller, directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also stars in it, with Chris
Pine as a ‘young’ Jack Ryan, Kevin Costner and Keira Knightly with a ‘cameo’
appearance by Mikhall Baryshnikov
