.
I was up early this morning to welcome ‘Reina’
back for the day, she’s with us everyday this week up to Friday, she shot into
her duvet up in the office and we both had a nice long lie in as there was no ‘
Charlie’ to take for his early walk, we are missing him already!
After breakfast we both freshened up for
the day ahead, Brenda peeled some Carrots & Potatoes for me, we are having
the rest of the ‘ Lancashire Hot Pot’ this evening for our supper, I’ve added
the rest of the Lamb Chops and topped off the pot with some sliced Potatoes
ready to go back in the oven later, we are having Baby Carrot Batons & Garden
Peas and of course lots of Pickled Red Beetroot!Tomorrow night we are having Grilled ‘
Burger Steaks’ with French Fried Onions and some ‘ Frits’
Its a little overcast and cloudy at the
moment with a stiff breeze but no sign of the threatened rain, so far, definitively
not a washing/drying day! We will find out later on the main news on ‘TVE 1’ at
4-00 pm what’s in store for us for the rest of the week. Its started to rain as
I’ve been typing the Blog.So we have another week of taking things
easy, Brenda has not to walk for another week but will start to practise on her
crutches as she feels stronger, tomorrow evening we have an appointments at the surgery
with the Chiropodist for our two month check up, I’m going as I seem to be on
mine more at the moment?!
Last night after supper we watched the last
episode of on BBC 1 of “ Call the Midwife “ – Sister Evangeline dies! – Oops I’ve
given the game away!! Then it was time for the next episode of “ The Night
Manager “ with Hugh Laurie as the ‘baddie’ getting nastier by the week! Just
two more episodes of “ Happy Valley’ with Sarah Lancashire to go, this Tuesday
and next!!
As I’ve been typing the Blog Jack & Lyn
came online on the Skype video from sunny Melbourne, 34 degs and rising! They
have just been way for a short weekend with their caravan and are now off to find a cooler spot for two weeks, they are heading along the “ Great Ocean
Road “ towards Adelaide and are stopping at ‘ Victor Harbor’ overlooking ‘
Kangaroo Island’
Meanwhile over in North Wales there have
been some spectacular photos of the night time display of the “ Aurora Borealis
“ in the sky, this one was taken from Rhos-on-Sea promenade overlooking the ‘ Bay
of Colwyn’
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
