I was up this morning, again, to see ‘Reina’
back with us for the day, we the all had
a little lie in before getting the day on the go, for our breakfast we had a
little treat ‘ English Pork Sausage Butties’ – served on warm buttered toast
with lots of 'HP' Brown Sauce!
I then got a large ‘ Black’ wash on the go, there’s more
in basket waiting its turn! We then freshened up and I shot down to our local
shop for some essentials including the fresh local vegetables, I then watered
the plants outside, read the water & electricity metres and took the
rubbish bag up to ‘Calle Mar’ to the underground bins.
Today the sun was out first thing and the
sky is bright blue, there is just a little breeze and by lunchtime its due to
reach 19 degs, over the next few days up to the weekend we are in for more of
the same and getting warmer – good drying weather!
At lunchtime I made a quick ' Potage des Legumes' using the 'Hot Pot' vegetables & potatoes with some Chicken stock added, then blended and re.seasoned, served with crispy Brown Bread Croutons. For our supper this evening we are having grilled ‘ Burger Steaks’ ( No buns!) garnished with ‘ French Fried Onion Rings’ sautéed Baby Mushrooms & sliced Plum Tomato, with whole fine Green Beans and deep fried Potato Wedges ( Skin on!) For tomorrow nights supper its Grilled Gammon Steak’ with Broad Beans in a Parsley sauce and ‘ Frits’

Yesterday evening we had a ‘ Quiz Night’ as
we watched ‘ Countdown, Pointless, Eggheads & University Challenge’ and then after supper we found an
excellent documentary on ‘ BBC Four’ “ The Return of the flying Scotsman “
showing the worlds most famous locomotive as it returns to the tracks following
a 10-year restoration that cost more than 4 million pounds, it then returns to
its home in York with an inaugural run from ¡Kings Cross Station’ in London.
This evening its the pen-ultimate episode of the very exciting & excellent series on BBC 1 “ Happy Valley “
