Just a little lie in this morning, here in
Spain its not a Bank Holiday, so everybody is back to work and all the bars &
shops are open, the Town Hall is working and there are Council workers in Calle
Mar seeing to the drains. We had our normal breakfast and then got the roast on
the go for this evenings supper when Lee & Daniela are joining us.
“ Roast Leg of South Island New Zealand
Lamb “ studded with Garlic & Rosemary, with a rich ‘ finger licking’ pan gravy,
I will finish the Lamb on top of the large dish of ‘ Boulangere’ Potatoes
later, we also have some small Goose Fat Roast Potatoes along with from the ‘Vegetable
Chef’ who is back off sick leave, ‘ Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets’ in a
Three Cheese sauce, glazed Carrot Batons & Garden Peas, to start we have a
small selection of Tapas and for the dessert its an ‘ Apple Extravaganza’ with
Apple Tort & Apple Sponge Tart garnished with ‘Fuji’ Apple slices and fresh
Cream!
Just a quick update on the ‘International
Football’ over the weekend; Spain drew in Romania 0-0 but the result of all the
matches was when England came from being 2-0 down to win 2-3 with three goals,
all rather special, as they beat the Germans in Berlin and played very well with
a new look team!!!!!!
So last night after supper we settled down to watch
the final episode of “ The Night Manager “ on BBC 1 – it was very gripping,
right up to the end, the excitement built up with another surprise killing, one
of the ‘goodies’ being tortured, shootings of a ‘baddie’ a huge explosion, the government
boss’s exposed and the nasty and threatening villain losing all his money and
being carted off to be killed, slowly! Oh and yes ‘ The Night Manager’ survived
and got the ‘ Heroine’ in the end! Superb!!
