A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 23^rd/ JANUARY 2016.

We were up early this morning and after grabbing a quick cup of tea and a piece of toast we set off on our travels down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping, I called at the bank for some cash and then Brenda popped into the ‘English Bookshop’ for the local newspapers and a birthday card!? Next we did our main ( small ) shop in ‘Mercadona’ as we are out and about next week for the first three days playing with David & Jane on the ‘Costa Del Sol’! Watch this space.

As we returned ‘Chispa’ was waiting to welcome us back and has been here for the morning, after unpacking I settled down to watch ‘ Saturday Kitchen Live’ on BBC 1 before disappearing up to the office to type and post the Blog after first catching up with any E-Mails, Facebook Messages, then reading the on-line newspapers including the ‘ Daily Mail¡ ( sorry Josie!)

Its crisp and dry this morning and the sun is just breaking through at the moment, by this afternoon it will reach 19 degs and its getting a little warmer over the weekend, at the start of next week its more of the same ,staying dry but crisp for the visit of David & Jane who are arriving on Monday at Malaga Airport and staying at the ‘H10 Estepona Princess ****’

This afternoon over in the ‘Premiere League’ the early kick off is at Norwich as they welcome Liverpool, then Manchester City are down at West Ham and tomorrow Everton welcome Swansea, over here in ‘La Liga’ Malaga welcome Barcelona later today and then on Sunday Real Madrid travel to Seville to play Real Betis; this afternoon I will be watching the Horse Racing from Ascot & Haydock on ‘Channel 4’

For our supper this evening we are having grilled ‘Entrecote Steak’ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘Med-Rare’ with Sautéed Baby Mushrooms & Onions, finely sliced Green Beans and of course some twice-cooked ‘Frits’ – mine topped with a ‘Campo’ Fried Egg and Brenda’s garnished with deep-fried Garlic Buds.

We are taking things very easy over the weekend trying to get ourselves as right as possible, health wise, to be ready to welcome the folks in the style that they are accustomed too!! Watch this space.
