FRIDAY 24th/ JULY 2015.
We were up early this morning despite the workmen arriving at 7-30 am, the Council workmen finishing the stage and washing down Calla Mar,the deliveries down to the shop and the street cleaning machine! After a quick breakfast we shot down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping as 'Reina' was not being dropped off until we returned.
I called into the Bank and then we picked up the newspapers from the 'English Bookshop' as well as some Birthday Cards and at the the same time exchanged some books; we did our main shop in a already busy 'Mercadona' before going along to the local market at the far end of the promenade for some fresh flowers, on the way back up the hill we stopped at 'Super Sol' for some English essentials.
After un- packing Brenda shot along to the Chemists for her prescriptions just as 'Reina was dropped off for the day; its already very hot and by this afternoon it will be in the high 30s and its getting hotter over the " Santa Ana Festival" weekend.
We are keeping a low profile today and the this evening we are going out on the 'town' - well we we are going on a 'Tapas' trail along Calle Mar ending up back at Bar Rojas later!
Two doors down from our house!
Stage 19 of the " Tour de France" today goes from 'Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to the top of La Toussuire' - only over 138 kms but with 3 'Grand Cols' on the way as you can see below;
Our 'Happy Hour' will be up on the roof terrace, what we need now are 'Safety Hats' as there is lots of work going on above our heads!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
